I loved my experience at Atera. The vibe, food and presentation were superb. Will definitely come back here again. I gave them 4 stars for the following reasons:
1- Food portions are very tiny. I have tried many many tasting menus in high end restaurants and while the portion is tiny you actually leave full. I left very hungry. Had to drink tons of water in between meals to curb down my stomach.
2- Long wait between meals. I was jet lagged and tired. Nearly fell asleep.
3- little creativity when it comes to dietary restrictions. I have gluten allergy. Most of my courses which contained gluten were substituted with something ordinary (zucchini ribbons with avocado mouse!! Like seriously?) I felt super jealous listening to everyone raving about the dessert I could not have due to my gluten allergy ( some said it’s the best thing they ever had). What I got in return was something very bland ordinary.
Overall I would recommend for people coming here. Just make sure you have good lunch or breakfast. And if you don’t have celiac/gluten allergy, I’m sure you’ll have a blast ..
Their espresso smelled Divine. I could not have it because it was late but boy the smell is still stuck in my head.
Update: after trying per se and daniel. I feel this place is more 3.5 stars review.. it was my birthday dinner on march 9th and they did nothing special (not even free drink or chocolate or whatever) Meanwhile I received gluten free cake with candles at per se the day after. I also got boxed gluten free chocolates and Dinner was a lot mor fulfilling. In conclusion: if you have gluten allergy and want to splurge. There are far more better places
If you have a special occasions, there are better places too
