The staff was very good, polite, and made me feel like a valued customer.
The food is very expensive which is what i expected. However, for the price i expected the food to be excellent. Unfortunately, it was not. It isn’t that anything was just terrible, it just wasn’t that good! Just very middle ground for me.
I got the cheese appetizer, a salad, a salmon for the main course, and a soufflé.
The cheese appetizer was good and what i expected nothing wrong there.
The salad was eloquent and done well i liked it!
The salmon entree was pretty bad though. The salmon was cooked well and was tasty, but there was a wild rice that i was looking forward to and it was mixed with some pesto that made it awful, which was sad because i love pesto! This pesto was the worst i had ever had haha. And, what’s funny is i eat pesto on my rice a lot actually... give trader joe’s kale pesto a try it is sooo delicious! Anyways, the pesto was really bitter and spicy which i am fine with spicy but bitter pesto is bleh!
Had my girlfriend try it too and she agreed it was pretty bad tasting.
Had the soufflé and it was good i think. It was my first soufflé so i didn’t know what to expect, but to me just maybe not my favorite dessert but i don’t think anything was wrong with it, it seemed picturesque from movies and stuff just maybe something to try and know for yourself.
Admittedly my favorite things about the night were these gluten free little breads my girlfriend got that tasted really good! They melt in your mouth and have a cheese filling. That and the baked potato was really good too! My girlfriend got a bananas foster that i tried some of and it was pretty good also.
Unfortunately, if those are my favorite things about a restaurant that is that expensive i feel something is wrong... hence... 2 star review.
