I have allergies to dairy and gluten so it’s extremely challenging to eat especially in the UP. We generally just eat in the van but we decided to stop by since the view looked nice, it was raining and we liked the name.
The server I’m certain could be a better server but maybe wasn’t trained correctly or has little experience in customer service. Her attitude was rude and confused. I asked if I could make an omelette with spinach, peppers, onions and bacon. She said with an eye roll “okay, but it’ll take a long time”
It did take a long time and the general attitude really robbed us of our relaxing morning.
With all that being said the food was great and we all start somewhere in the service industry. If we happen to be back that way any time soon we will indeed give it another chance. When you are kind and have fun doing your job your PPA, upselling and tip percentage will sky rocket. Just food for thought! Have fun doing your job and remember the customer is not always right. But it’ll make your day easier if you at least try to be kind/helpful during the process.
