Ballard’s

The food was amazing, but I was never informed when communicated via test that we had to leave at 9:00 pm. The waitress was sulky and a bit rude. I had informed them that I had one vegan one gluten free which was not a problem until we ordered. We couldn’t do 5 people on the 65.00 banquet and two people order off the menu, so stupid. I wanted to support somewhere local where I had lived before moving back to Sydney but their not giving a shit attitude made the beautiful food seem less than and the whole finning experience rushed, not relaxing and disappointing.

We were visiting from the US, and this was at the top of our list for this visit - we would go back in a heartbeat! Amazing plant-based food, served family style in a lively atmosphere (the lion's mane mushrooms are to die for). I also really appreciated the chef's willingness to modify for dietary needs such as a gluten sensitivity- I strongly recommend contacting the restaurant ahead, as we did.
