Disappointing meal. The Katsu curry as advertised was not a Katsu curry. Just vegetables covered in a Katsu sauce. The explanation was that it was difficult for the chef to try to serve this meal to a gluten intolerant diner. I explained that you can buy gluten free breadcrumbs!!! Therefore the chef had removed the Panko breadcrumbed part of this dish without saying so! The pork belly had no gravy and the promised ‘sauce’ was very sparse indeed. The duck fat new potatoes did not taste of duck fat - all in all a rather unfortunate experience. The owner said they had lost a lot of money during a recent Covid outbreak within their staff and were trying to recoup their losses! Not really quite the way forward!
