I had not been here in about 8 years but my brain remembered that the food was amazing. I'm now gluten free and I was impressed by the options. The food was phenomenal just like I remembered. The prices weren't as high as I remembered which was a nice treat!

We came here on a late Sunday morning. Place was busy but not packed. We were seated upstairs by a window, which was nice. In general the atmosphere is very homey, but that's the only nice thing I can say. It took 45 minutes to get food for 2 people. The prices are outrageous for the amount you get. My partner spent $8 on a SMALL glass of orange juice. And the price for the food was no less than $20 a plate (for standard breakfast fare). They also don't do gluten-free substitutions for free. You get a croissant or you don't -- you have to pay extra for gf toast as a side. The food in general was good, but I would not go here again.

Cute house. Great location. Right off Mt Vernon and a 20 minute walk from Braddock Metro. The front porch inside rotates pretty quick. You can sit outside and upstairs ... if which many people in line wanted to wait for an upstairs table. I've never been up there considering this was my first visit, so I imagine it must be nice. Elvin was my server, polite and checks on you often. Feedback for him. Instead of offering just sparkling water or filtered, offer latte or coffee as well. Again it was my first time here so I'm not familiar with the menu or how things roll. Give me the scoop. I had the buckwheat pancakes and Elvin was kind enough to remind me they are gluten free so they're on the dryer side; however, if you did the whipped butter/cream over the pancakes and sprinkle with pure maple syrup, is going to be delicious no matter what. I also had the 2 eggs my way omelet with salad and fruit cup. Even though I was starving and gobbled everything up, I can tell you it was a lot. So definitely come hungry.
