Update May 2025 Still charming and inviting with great staff and a Gluten Free menu Warm, cozy traditional pub From the outside, the pub is just stunning with a medieval presence that just wants you to peep inside. When you enter the pub, its a drastic contrast on the eyes as you enter from nature daylight into a low lit pub. As soon as you see the massive fireplace it just invites you to stay and enjoy a drink with a traditional pub menu. Staff are great with a friendly service and welcoming. Recommendation Go and enjoy one of the last traditional pubs in the Cotswolds as the rest are turning into very expensive gastro pubs no one wants. #garystribe #localguide #localguides #letsguide #cotswolds #greattew #pubs

Wonderful service. Just the best. Mains were good. And very thoughtful to include a gluten free menu. But starters (sort of nibble things) were weak. Low quality sausages, the dipping oil for the bread was flavourless and I seasoned. It was nearly five stars for service, decent mains, an extremely very thoughtful specially gluten free.menu (battered cod made with gluten free flour?) and outstanding puddings. I will return. But nibbles could be improved.
