The Farm Bar surpassed all my expectations for a wonderful evening. I haven’t encountered such hospitality since the before times!
From the beginning, Linda was incredibly kind and helped us expand our reservation for 2 to 4 at the chef’s counter over the phone, and once we were at the restaurant, we were invited to use an empty table once it freed up to be more comfortable. Our server was so professional and knowledgeable about all of our wine pairings and menu items, and enriched our experience by letting us know what to taste for. On top of that, we never felt rushed like some tasting menu restaurants make you feel, though at an 8pm reservation, we were the last diners left in the restaurant at closing.
My partner needed a gluten-free, egg-free, and light on peppers menu and The Farm Bar was so lovely about accommodating his dietary restrictions with adequate substitutions instead of leaving entire components or dishes out. He got a gluten free teff/oatmeal bread, butternut squash noodles in place of pasta, and a twice baked radish in place of the egg among other things. The pastry team was even considerate enough to send us home with scones and a gluten-free scone just for him!
Everything on the menu was executed well, and with generous amounts for a tasting menu as well at an amazing value at only $90/person, and an incredible wine pairing at only $50/person. My favorites were the snacks in the beginning, especially the savory custard, duck pate, and the apple galette dessert and the cantaloupe shrub drink. Additionally, we felt so much safer dining at The Farm Bar with their staff masked and vaccinated - huge shoutout for helping all of us stay healthy! Please visit the The Farm Bar and know you’ll be so well taken care of. If I’m ever back in Tulsa, I will be back for sure.
