We ate at the GA Sea Grill last year and enjoyed it. We went back this year while visiting SSI and ended up there two evenings in a row (actually, we went to another restaurant the second night and got up and left because it was dirty and the food didn't look nearly as good). Both evenings the food was incredible, the service was attentive, the drinks were delicious, and the ambiance delightful. We appreciated the quiet, relaxing atmostphere, even when we were there at the peak of the dinner hour. As a celiac, I also appreciated their GF menu, which has many more options than the typical restaurant. Though some may say that the prices are steep, trust me: every bite is worth it for the fresh ingredients and tastebud bursting flavors. We HIGHLY recommend the GA Sea Grill- my only negative comment is that they're located 5 hours from us.
June 2020 -
We have loved GA Sea Grill for several years and it's one of the reasons why we return to SSI. We visited the island with friends at the end of May and had been raving to them about this restaurant. We had a reservation, but when we arrived they seated us at 2 separate hightops in the bar area, saying there were no tables available. Yet while we were there, we witnessed 2 parties without reservations be seated at tables. The service was not at the standard we've been used to seeing at GA Sea Grill, and we were overall disappointed, especially after recommending it so highly to our friends. Hopefully it's post-COVID growing pains, and things will be back to normal soon. We will be back on the island with a group of 8 friends at the end of this month, but 2 of those were with us that evening and do not wish to return.
