Hubbox Falmouth

The food was great, we ordered two gluten-free burgers and two regular ones for lunch and they were all very tasty. The staff was so kind and helpful and the place itself is very comfy, with great views and well-located.

Hub Box used to be one of the best burger places... Now it's a disappointment. Especially when it comes to allergy issues. I ordered the mother clucker fries to be gluten free, I've had this dish many times and gluten free has always been great. I was asked whether it was an allergy or intolerance and I explained coeliac disease, she didn't seem like she knew what it was (a bit concerning for a food place) but wrote it down. When my meal was brought over to me they said 'I know you asked for gluten free, but the sauce does have gluten in, is that ok?'. Of course it's not OK so I asked for it to be remade. It came back as basic fries with a bit of chicken and sour cream, the gluten free alternative was disappointing and not worth the £11. When someone came over and asked us if everything was OK, we highlighted the allergen issues and the fact the gluten free version was a let down. We had a response of 'oh ok' and nothing else was said or done. The bill came to full price and nothing else was said to us before we left. Not a great experience.
