After grabbing lunch from the Presidio Pop Up food trucks, we found ourselves irresistibly drawn to the inviting red Adirondack chairs at Presidio Tunnel Tops. With the stunning backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean, it was the perfect spot to savor our meal. The food trucks offered a diverse array of cuisines, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of the Bay Area. From Filipino fusion to Singaporean delights, there was something to tantalize every palate.
Originally, we had planned to dine at Il Parco, but the allure of the food trucks led us to a spontaneous and satisfying lunch. After our meal, we decided to visit Il Parco for dessert. To our surprise, the café boasted an impressive selection of sweet treats, including various cakes, gluten-free loaf options, and an assortment of cookies. The savory offerings also caught our eye, especially the pasta prepared in a Parmesan wheel and the variety of panini and pizzas.
Though our appetites were nearly satisfied, we couldn’t resist trying a few cookies. We chose four: a walnut blueberry and two classic chocolate chip cookies. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors, leaving us eager to return and explore more of Il Parco’s menu.
Il Parco offers a charming outdoor seating area on a covered patio, providing diners with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Parking is conveniently available nearby for a small fee, making it easy to access both the café and the Tunnel Tops park.
Spending the day at Presidio Tunnel Tops, enjoying a mix of spontaneous and planned culinary delights, and soaking in the natural beauty, made for an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite from the food trucks or indulging in a leisurely meal at Il Parco, this area offers a perfect blend of flavors and views.
