J. Sheekey's red facade has been an unmissable fixture along St Martin's Court in Covent Garden since 1896.
Sometimes, established legacy restaurants can be disappointing and not live up to their reputation. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service when I recently dined at this well-known seafood spot.
Although there isn't an abundance of gluten free options on the menu, the few that were available were full of flavour and well balanced. The fish was fresh, and I thought everything was spiced beautifully. The waitress took her time explaining what I could/ couldn't eat on the menu, and I felt safe dining despite my dietary restrictions. I was also happy to note that gluten free bread was available.
I want to highlight the risotto - it was remarkable, and I haven't had a risotto in a long that that I have enjoyed as thoroughly as this one.
I had a very pleasant experience dining here, and I would recommend it as a good option post-West End show!
