La Cocina del Sur Empanadas Bar by Pedro’s South American food

I went here for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. A few friends and I sat at the bar since we were early for our reservation and the bartender bought me a shot and was so sweet. I loved the pisco sour and mangoda margarita. Charee was our server and did an incredible job; there were seven of us and she made it seem easy. We really appreciated her explanations and recommendations as well. She even offered to take a photo of us at the end of the night:) All of us got different things and loved everything! There were even good options for my gluten free forms. 10/10 best birthday dinner I've had in a very long time; great service, atmosphere, and food.

Wonderful place to meet friends and try lots of new tastes. We started with pisco sours that were very good, just like the ones we regularly drink in Chile where we live most of the year. There are so many gluten free entree choices, I'll have to come several times to try them all. For my first visit, we started with yuca frita. It was excellent, crunchy on the outside and hot and moist on the inside. I ordered the chicken arepa for my entree. It was very good, piled high with moist, slightly spicy chicken. Too much for me to eat in one meal! My husband ordered two empanadas (not gluten free). He said they were good, the pastry very thin and light the way he likes it. The empanadas are on the small side, so he helped me finish the arepa. We'll definitely visit again!!
