So glad we tried this diner! We decided to try this little diner (was about a 30ish minute drive) and we weren't disappointed. Diner itself was super cute - very well done. Looked like a cute retro diner. For those worried about covid, there are plastic curtains you can draw closed between the booths, which was thoughtful and they were well done so that it fit into the color theme of the restaurant. You can sit on a stool at the counter or in a booth.
The food was great! I had a Texas Burger. Requested Gluten Free bun. The burger itself was delicious (I rarely eat an entire burger when I go to one of these placed and I ate every bite of this one!). Gluten free bun was good - sometime GF are not great. No complaints with theirs. The fries are crispy - like they are coated first. Husband had regular burger, fries and shake - said all were really good.
Heather was our waitress and she was great. Can tell she has been there for awhile as she seemed to know the regulars and what they ordered. Great service (c;
I would not hesitate to recommend this little jewel to anyone! Cost for 2 burgers with fries, coffee and a shake was just over $30. Little higher than I would normally want to spend for a lunch - however it was so good, I would definitely do it again. (also considering the next day we drove a half hour again to try a Shake Shake and it was same price and terrible!).
Thank you Local Diner and Heather for the great service and food!
