It's a McMenamin's restaurant. Attach everything that goes with it: antique signage, proprietary arty atmosphere, wide variety of microbrews, and sturdy pub fare.
McMenamin's no longer cuts their own fries. I miss that terribly. These days, I find myself resorting to their tots, as their mass-produced shoestrings taste like sadness and missed opportunity. Seriously. DQ does fries better than McMenamin's nowadays. I feel like it's the end of an era.
Still and yet, their trademark burger offerings and high-quality ingredients don't disappoint. Their excellent variety of ciders and gf substitutions allow this seasoned pub ruminant-turned-cliche to still have a great experience. Don't expect a celiac-safe space. But intolerants should be fine.
Waitstaff are seasoned pros, and do a great job.
Glad to have this location in outer SE. It's an oasis in an otherwise big-box section of town.
