Great that you can try a vegan version of a Canadian classic. It tastes quite good here. Plus for gluten-free options. It would be great if they were also adapted for people with celiac disease

Toronto is out of lockdown so I’m finally able to try this vegan fast food chain. I went to the college street location it was bright & clean. I was the only customer there which was a relief. I attempted to order on their IG page for curbside pick up but I had a few questions so I was hoping to get good suggestions from the employees. The greeting was friendly & they are aware that I had never been there before. While he did suggest I order the Un-Famous Melt a smaller “Big Mac” with Bacun, he seemed distracted advised that they have gluten free bread & told me I could place my order on the tablets on the side. While most people use gloves etc it would have been nice to see wipes near by for the self ordering area. While scrolling through the menu on the tablet I did hear the same employee mention they are a celebrity not just an influencer with over 1 million followers. While eagerly packing an order. The reason for his distraction walked she was polite friendly & gracious. Another employee answered my question about the gluten free alternative are bread slices as opposed to the the bun that is traditionally served with the burgers. I ended up ordering The Wingalings with BBQ sauce on the side & the Un-Famous Melt & went hone to eat them. The Wingalings had a good crunch and the bbq sauce was pretty standard. That were quite filling so I only ate half of my burger it was good. The experience was the same as a traditional fast food restaurant, but since they’re not McDonald’s or Burger King they should take a bit more time with new customers. Or maybe I should have went on IG asked more questions &! ordered ahead of time. They may have been more interested. If I’m in the area of a different location I will try them again. The celebrity influencer posted her meal on IG & she was happy with her Crunchy onion rings. I didn’t notice them on the menu . So maybe next time. Restaurants have been hit hard, if you can support them then go.I get it if you have a celebrity influencer with over 1 million followers order & post/advertise your restaurant to all of their followers that’s something to be excited about. Just remember if you want over a million customers remember to package & treat them all like the people who influence your bottom line.
