Visited with my mother as she raved about their spiced tea. We have gluten intolerances and try to stay away from dairy so middle eastern places typically work well for our dietary concerns. We ordered the fried cauliflower, spinach, okra, and vegetable stew.
The Good
-The fried cauliflower is delicious
-The okra was good. Nothing spectacular but it wasn’t as bland as the other dishes.
-Our server was kind and the food came out quickly!
-The ambiance is quaint. We loved the wood oven heater and the decor.
The Bad
The stew and spinach were unexpectedly bland! The spinach appeared to be pan seared as it was visibly dry. The vegetable stew just tasted like tomato sauce and vegetables-no distinct flavor palette there.
Unfortunately the tea was watery as though it’d been steeped too many times.
I think there are certain dishes that are definitely worth trying here and others that are just okay. Definitely heed previous reviews and pick out the standout dishes. If I came back, I’d get the cauliflower again but try the falafel!
