You generally know what you are getting when you book up a Premier Inn room.
However, when we arrived here, we were a little blown away - it was literally feet from the sandy beach, and had a Brewers Fayre attached, so no running in the rain to go for breakfast or dinner.
The staff were friendly and polite and very helpful, booking meals for us and providing extra pillows, with no fuss at all.
The room was classic Premier, and spotlessly clean , but with a view to die for straight over the sands and in the morning the sun came up out of the sea, directly in front of us.
The breakfasts were classical Premier, but seemed to have more choice and better cooked ingredients than we have had at any of the other four inns that we have stayed at this year. There is nothing better than eating your breakfast sitting at a table, watching the sea.
The evening meals were varied and beautifully cooked and presented, with no problem identifying gluten free options or ingredients for my wife who is coeliac.
In conclusion , it is an ideal position to use as a base for visiting local attractions such as Torquay, Dartmouth, Kent's Cavern , Dartmoor etc and has a station for the steam train to Dartmouth or Paignton within 100yds and a huge splash pool across the road and crazy golf, go carts , bumper boats and beautiful gardens 100yds along the beach footpath.
As you can tell we are big supporters and will visit again.
