Celiac beware! While the food tasted very good I am very upset that I paid nearly 300$ (including tip) for dinner for 2 and to be sick for the next two days from consuming gluten. To clarify I ordered a steak house salad with no croutons and a filet for dinner. When the salad came out it was a bit wilted and as someone previously working in a restaurant I know that it is not uncommon to pre make salads and keep them in a walk in fridge to save time. As I began eating my salad I could taste where croutons had been previously as their crunchy, garlic and delicious nature is unmistakable. However, after only taking a few bites and suspecting gluten I stopped eating my salad. I ate the rest of my dinner which was very good however the next two days my body was extremely upset with me for what I had done. Food was delicious but as someone that is extremely sensitive to gluten I will not be going back to another Ruth Chris Steakhouse. For the amount of money spent on dinner I surely would not have expected such poor handling of food allergies and sensitivities. Cmon Ruth Chris you can do better.
