My wife and I stayed here for our Honeymoon, and first of all, the location itself is stunning.
The entrance to the hotel lobby alone was breathtaking, we did admittedly come in as the sun was setting so possibly the best time to do it, but regardless it leaves an impression!
All the staff we interacted with were both helpful and lovely,
We stayed in one of the Unique rooms, and while a little unusual, we were more than happy with the selection. There were a few minor imperfections in the room (small damage to some fixtures and a faulty light switch), but nothing that cannot be fixed and certainly nothing bad enough to cause a room swap. A small warning, our king bed was 2 singles pushed together with a topper and we did have a few issues with sinking into the middle at times, but hopefully they can replace these beds with proper kings in future.
The spa section itself was amazing, we did most of the couple's treatments they offered and thoroughly enjoyed them all (but do book in advance, we tried to book some extras while we were there and they did not have any availability). The cliff top hot tubs and the natural pool were lush.
The food and drink were also great, both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant with room service in between, and all the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the taster menu with the wine pairings, and both the maitre d' and sommelier were lovely.
Being able to order a fresh pot of tea at any time was a real highlight, especially in contrast to a grotty kettle you might find in other places.
We did sadly have a few issues with the service relating to my Coeliac disease, but to Scarlet's credit, they received our complaint, actually listened, and it was resolved to our satisfaction.
We are planning to return next year, and hopefully for many more years to come!
