BOOK or wait in long lines going down the road. Everyone knows the legendary Tayyabs.
The menu covers a variety of food - people who eat meat, vegetarians and vegans and as quite often with food from South East Asia, gluten free.
This is not a super luxury place. Service is quick, dishes come at different times. The kitchen is partially open and if you sit near it like we did, when the chilli and curry hit the heat it really catches the back of your throat. Each time happened our table would then start laughing. It definitely was not a disaster. Food is quite spicy. I am not sure if you could ask for anything to be created less spicy? Food is great, portions are large. The salad with poppadoms at the beginning is a bit sad - but it is probably not worse than a lot of other places. Lassi jugs are huge. There is a different special each day of the week.
We have a channa dish, a pumpkin dish and fish tikka. Everything was great but the fish was a standout.
