Very lovely Sunday lunch. Catered brilliantly for the coeliac husband.
Crispy gurnard with curry mayonnaise to start and share.
Then perfectly panfried buttery, lemony Dover Sole with buttered new potatoes and leeks for me. The husband had fennel and fish stock risotto with a panfried cod fillet on the top, which he declined to share!
As there was no gluten free desert option, the waitress offered us a special chocolate delice with fruit and ice cream. We shared it and it was fab.
I highly recommend the Duck at Stanhoe. It was excellent and we will certainly be back.
Also they didn't bat an eyelid at our very barky dachshund.
