Excellent steak and fantastic service. The room is very comfortable and inviting, with very clever curtains creating private areas and a sense of warm enclosure. A very welcoming space.
The menu is dominated by steaks and hearty meat dishes (duh) but there are an excellent range of entree and side dishes. Bruchetta was crisp and very fresh, while the Boerewors is spicy, rich and delicious.
The steaks are fantastic. 150+ days aged, cooked perfectly. Pepper sauce is not for the faint-hearted, but I loved it.
Try the espresso martini made with cognac. A bit unusual? Stunning. Yum.
Staff: super. Front of house were friendly and seated us immediately. Waiters were all knowledgeable about their menu and wine list. They checked with me a couple of times re an allergy ("You are gluten intolerant - are you sure about the pepper sauce - it has gluten?"). That shows an organised kitchen and great attention to detail.
Can't wait to go back.
