Went for Sunday lunch with some friends. I would have posted a photo of the food but I was hungry and it was delicious so by the time I remembered about things like photos my plate didn't look very photogenic. I am coeliac and pescitarian/dairy free so it can be tricky to eat out but The Mytton and Mermaid made it easy and risk free! It would have been nice to have been able to have something other than sorbet for dessert but tbf the sorbet was delicious so no harm done! The fish and chips were gorgeous - the batter was really crunchy! I shared 2 meals with my son so we could go half and half and also had the nut loaf. It was more of a nut mound and didn't have the texture or cohesion I usually associate with but roast but it was yummy anyway! The onion rings (which I only ordered coz I was so excited that it was a possibility) were yummy but quite greasy so I would prob leave them out next time. The service was amazing and I felt really safe eating there. Lovely, quality feel to everything inside and absolutely beautiful countryside outside. 10/10 will definitely be back as often as possible! Oh yes, we booked a bit late so ended up in the bar, which I wasn't sure about initially, but it was absolutely lovely.
