Really lovely location and friendly staff.
I have a gluten intolerance and asked about gluten free options when I arrived. I was advised they'd be written in the menu but weren't any listed, so I'm assuming none of the food options are gluten free. I'd love to come back in the future for food, but it would be really helpful if the gluten free options were clearer, or staff more knowledgeable on the menu.
I ended up having a milkshake, which was delicious! The staff checked all the ingredients in the ice cream and sauce, but held off on any toppings in case these included gluten.

Our first visit, but certainly not our last, The Cowshed catered for wife who is coeliac without batting an eyelid, I had the vegetarian breakfast with black pudding as I'm not a very strict vegetarian. Lovely food in a lovely setting, brilliant staff and a reasonable price.
