The service was very good and our main meals were nice (gluten free steak & ale pie and a prawn & crayfish salad), however the desserts were a disappointment, as neither were as described.
The cheesecake in the menu just said cheesecake with fruit coulis and double cream, however what I received was a cheesecake covered in small malteser things with a chocolate sauce. I'm not a great fan of chocolate and this was far too sickly for my taste.
Mum had honeycomb ice cream, but this was actually more like hard toffee and she struggled to bite through the large chunks.
I the unlikely event we have desserts there again, we will certainly be clarifying what we're going to get!
