I hate to write this but I just wanted to make people with food allergies aware that this is probably not a good restaurant to eat at. I'm allergic to gluten, dairy, egg, soy, and yeast which I recognize is a lot to handle, but I'm pretty flexible in what I'll be able to eat, recognizing most kitchens cook their food in butter! :)
The good: Our waitress was FABULOUS. I didn't catch her name but she really did make every effort to make sure I was safe and fed.
The bad: There were major miscommunications with the kitchen that just lost trust from me... we ordered the octopus with all sauce on the side and it came on a bed of aioli. I ate pieces without aioli but dipped in the tapenade side sauce (tapenade per the menu) which...ended up being a chipotle aioli. Our waitress kindly insisted on taking the octopus off the bill and sending a new one complementary and when it came, the runner said that the tomatoes it came with were cooked in butter... while our waitress said it would be safe for me to eat.
Additional: I ordered the ribeye with no butter and a side of roasted (no butter) veggies. To be honest the ribeye had no seasoning bc I think they usually rely on the compound butter to give it taste. I also wasn't confident that the side of veg wasn't cooked in butter at that point.
I ultimately left sick and a little hungry which guts me to say bc the people were SO SO nice and the ambiance was lovely! I think if you have no food allergies you will like this place! If you have food allergies I'd avoid.
