The Kyneton Hotel

Great food and friendly staff! Super accomodating for coeliacs and other dietaries.

The Kyneton hotel is a local landmark on the main street of Kyneton. There's plenty of 2 hour parking down the side street. Inside is a relaxing atmosphere with a good selection of traditional pub fare, with the addition of some vegan and gluten free options on a number of menu items, and a good selection of craft beers and wines. I am not coeliac only gluten intolerant so cannot advise as to the level of separation. The pub has been gently renovated for a clean and simple finish with a mixture of original and sympathetic fittings, fixtures and furnishings - it's clean with no old cigarette smoke or other odours, but nothing fancy. Staff were attentive, helpful and unobtrusive, meals were made to order, fresh and delicious, served on basic tableware without the dreaded modern deep edged plates (like a serving tray) that my elders detest. I didn't check out the accommodations, nor unfortunately did I remember to pay heed to accessibility. I was there on a weekday for lunch.
