amazing food, the place to go if you want to try laotian food. definitely on the pricier end (~$50/person) but so worth it. while the food is advertised as family-sized, don't be mistaken, they are generally normal entreé-sized. there were also so many vegetarian and gluten-free options. we ordered: • kee mao—amazing flat rice noodles, nothing specifically noteworthy, but the taste is perfectly sweet and savory. • gaeng phet—delicious curry, non-spicy. nothing specifically noteworth either, just well done. • moak—must try!! you don't get to taste something so good every day. has a slightly similar texture to avocado for its top layer. • laab e kao—really good, came out first. not often you get to try alligator meat! well portioned as an appetizer. • thai coffee—well done, i just love thai coffee. • thai tea—even better! almost every dish came with a side serving of rice in these cute little containers, but i believe they were premade as the curry came out with a small bowl of fresh rice. the service was generally good. we didn't have a reservation, and they let us sit after waiting for around 10-20 minutes. they made us stand by the bar while we waited, but we still got seats for four on a friday night! the atmosphere was super loud but in a way, nice to have conversations in.
