If someone gave me a business card that said "real dentist" on it, I'd immediately start to question the validity of that dentist. That's why I was skeptical when I saw that Trail Dust had a sign that said "real smoked BBQ". Their sauce bottles also threw me off. It said how it has all natural ingredients and then it went on to say all the things that weren't in the sauce. There was no high fructose corn syrup, no MSG, no gluten, and no major allergens. They didn't mention one ingredient that was actually in the sauce. I'm sure there are plenty of things that aren't in this sauce, I just want to know what's in it.
I could have got past that stuff if the food was great, but that wasn't the case. The cornbread was burnt. They should see if people want their cornbread well done, medium well, medium, or rare. I also got the brisket, which was underwhelming. I told my friend about it later and he said never to get the brisket here. Apparently their tri-tip is much better. I initially ordered that, but they were out. Overall, if I'm going to give myself heartburn there are other places that I'd prefer to do that at.
