Fellow vegans: the only vegan options at Umu is a salad and a pizza (which can be made gluten-free). The pizza is bland, the vegan cheese isn't really cheese but a dried-out and crunchy paste. If you want a good vegan feed then go to Monteith's just up the road, great pizzas and vegan dessert. Also, the staff at Umu weren't that hospitable. Average.

This place is worth an excursion to coromandel Township for. Normally I avoid seafood pizzas, but this place is clued up, and can provide gluten free. They use fresh seafood, very tasty.
Also the iced chocolate is perfect for those hot summer days 🌞
