The food is okay. The korma is a bit bland. My main complaint is that I wasn't too pleased when the waiter shrugged off my gluten allergy like it wasn't a big deal. I was asking him about a dessert dish and asked if a particular one had gluten.
With an heir of condescension and just short of rolling his eyes, he mockingly said, "Is it like a preference or an 'actual allergy'?" I told him it was an actual allergy. With a smirk, he replied, "Yeah, sure. There's no gluten in this dish." It was clear he did not take what I said seriously and seemed annoyed that I would be asking questions to ensure I didn't ingest something that'd make me sick. He was mocking me and it was evident. The friends I was with (after he walked away) even said, "He has no right to be upset with you. I don't get why he's acting like that."
I immediately felt uncomfortable and knew that he didn't care about food safety. We were going to order dessert, but after that, we decided to leave promptly. Doubtful that we will be back. The wait staff needs to understand the importance of food safety and not take food allergies lightly.
