Village Pizza Family Restaurant

When I think of nostalgia from my childhood, I think of Village Pizza. I can’t count how many times I’ve had it and one thing I can say is that it’s very reliable! You know you will get the same foot and quality time in and time out. While it may not be the best food in the whole world, it is high quality and the staff also make it worth it. They also have a variety of gluten free options, which is a plus!

First, our waitress was wonderful! My grinder was very good. The restaurant is clean and comfortable seating The reason for the 2 star rating is because they charged an additional $6.oo on top of the $8.95 for a small cheese pizza. That’s $14.95 for a small cheese pizza that was made on a frozen pre made gluten free crust. I can purchase two frozen gluten free pizza crusts of equal quality from stop and shop for about $7.00. It’s unfortunate that we were not told this. My husband had called ahead to see if they had gluten free food and we are happy that they offer this type of food but it seemed a bit pricey when we got the bill. When I questioned the charge they told me that they don’t make any profit on the gluten free pizza. Like I said, Stop and Shop full price for two frozen crusts is $7.00 so $3.50 a crust. $14.85 - $3.50 = $11.35. Apparently that’s not enough profit on a meal for someone with special dietary needs.
