We had a fantastic dinner as a family. Tried a few great pizzas and a couple great salads. The Rocket Salad could use some more balsamic, but still enjoyed. Staff were all kind and helpful. Great spot for a family after a long day at the beach. They also accommodated with a gluten free pizza that was separately prepared, and it was excellent!

Shared a beautiful dinner whilst on Hamilton Island with my partner. We ordered the bresaola and maple glazed carrots for entree and the sautéed gnocchi and ragu for mains. As a coeliac, the staff were fantastic in recommending which were 100% guaranteed GF options. The atmosphere of the restaurant combined with sitting out on the deck was great. We will definitely be back on our next Hamilton Island trip, and I would recommend Manta Ray to any couples, families or individuals seeking a beautiful dinner outing on the island.

Sails and Verandah are the exact same place, not sure why there’s 2 on google maps… Decent food, bit on the pricier side (almost $30 for a burger). The burger itself was nice and you could change it to gluten free, free of charge. Couldn’t change it to dairy free also though, the option was unavailable. Need to fix this issue to allow more flexibility in dietary requirements. The chips weren’t fresh and tasted a bit processed. Lots of cockatoos eating left over food. Personally enjoyed this but if you’re terrified of birds, might not be the funnest experience lol.

Staff stated that portion sizes were large and they definitely were not, likely the same size as any Asian restaurant. The options for Celiac friendly mains were limited and of those options we had 2 out of the 3. I found these to be lacking in taste and flavour. Very expensive for the serving sizes, thought that’s to be expected for where we are.

Breakfast buffet is worth it! So many options including gluten free vegan etc. such great drinks and delicious fruit! Went for seafood buffet Friday - pricey but worth it! Such an amazing selection of cold and hot dishes and the dessert bar is massive!!! Went for a regular dinner which was 4/5. Way over cooked steak but they made us a new one and then gave us some dessert. The steak cooked to our liking was really good.

Dined in Sunday night with friends which was roast night. Delicious baked potato and pumpkin, vegetables and chicken. Didn't choose the gravy as I'm coeliac and it wasn't gluten free.
