Falling for something! ❤️
Great service, super nice place, great atmosphere! ✨
And I'm allergic to peanuts, gluten intolerant, and vegan, and I ate a starter, great pizza provided, and a great chocolate dessert, absolutely without problem!
Really great! 🙌
Thank you for the great experience once again! 😊

Being celiac, eating out is more often a source of stress or disappointment than anything else. Bravo to St-Hubert which takes things seriously and offers a good choice of gluten-free dishes! The only downside is that there is no gluten-free beer. The service was impeccable and my experience was a truly great outing!
A friend and I came across Galopin just by chance in November 2016. The restaurant was so unassuming, staff unobtrusive and subtle, yet so efficient and friendly. The meals we'd chosen blew us away. It was the best dinner experience for both of us in years.
Since then, I'd often recommended Galopin to friends who planned to travel to Quebec City.
This time I visited Quebec City with my spouse, it was a birthday weekend! The planned highlight: Dinner at the Galopin. I was looking forward to it with such expectation.
My wife is 100% non-alcoholic and is gluten free. We couldn't find gluten-free option that did not include alcohol. Wait staff didn't really seem to be motivated. We felt rushed, as if accommodating these needs would be asking too much.
So, her choices were very limited. Finally she settled on steak, which was ok - if on the cold side. We'd rate it at a 8/10. But this was the steak only.
I'd rate my own dinner at a 5/10. The starter (Sweetbreads) was a 6.5, the interim salad a joke [really a 'minus one'] as the lettunce leaves were dried out and flavourless, there was not enough dressing and ,in addition, our server did not even bother to ask if anything else was needed. My main dish was blood sausage with with scallops. The scallops were fine, but the additional items on the plate were rather flavorless (5 /10). The dessert was too dry and the apple flavor in the 6 little spots on the plate was recognisable, but just neglectable in dimension (3/ 10).
The Rose Vine (Portuguese) was fine and presented at the right temperature. A good choice. My coffee was excellent.
Given my high anticipation, it was a disastrous evening. I was so disappointed.
Disservice. I asked for a gluten free lunch and stressed the importance of taking it into consideration. I chose a crepe that offers this possibility. In the end, the crepe was not gluten-free and I was sick all day and night (vomiting and migraine). Is this an error by the kitchen or by the service? I won't go back there again...
Enjoy a delightful lunch stop just a quick walk from the bus station, with tasty and straightforward dishes served with a patient smile.

I was served by an enthusiastic, happy man. He showed patience for my allergies and our French/English language barrier. I had chicken leg, rice & peas, spicy pickles, plantains, tomato dipping sauce and salad. Delicious simple food that hit the spot perfectly. No special accommodations needed to make this gluten free. 5 minute walk from the bus station makes this the perfect choice for a lunch time stop over.
Chill vibe with a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed breakfast, though options are a bit limited for specific dietary preferences.

A good restaurant for breakfast, although the choice is quite limited for those following an anti-inflammatory diet. I opted for a dish that almost met my standards, and I have to say it was really delicious!
The next day we went back. I asked to place the granola on the side to have gluten-free bread, it was very delicious.
Thank you to the team for this pleasant experience and for the atmosphere!
