We bought our wedding cake from Bakkerij De Anti Gluut, as well as some donuts and cupcakes for the day - I would've ordered even more if I could have justified it! Our cake was vanilla and lemon/lemon curd, and vanilla and strawberry jam. The donuts were vanilla and cinnamon with a vanilla glaze. The dairy-free cupcakes were also vanilla with a vanilla glaze. Everything was absolutely delicious and looked and tasted exactly as requested! Communication with Manuela was great throughout, and delivery was early on the day, so there was no stress or worry. service was great, but as a celiac patient I have never seen such a disgusting pancake. the gluten free pancake was extremely thick and rubbery, and I found the middle of the pancake actually inedible. also the bottom was dry and looked more like a pizza base or pita bread (???). if you can eat gluten this is recommended, my girlfriend's pancake looked great and the atmosphere is good! but they really need to change something about the gluten free pancakes.

Charlie is more of an indoor playground with dining facilities than a restaurant, although the name 'family restaurant' probably gives that away. The atmosphere is completely aimed at children and families, which is great if that is what you are specifically looking for. The menu also reflects this and therefore offers few surprises. Compliments for the extensive gluten-free range, which was not necessary for us, but was very positive.
What was disappointing was the lack of service. Nowadays you order everything via a tablet, which means there is hardly any interaction with the staff. That feels impersonal and makes it less hospitable. A solution for staff shortages, but it does detract from the experience of service.
The food is really overpriced for what you get.
In short: if your children want to play, this can be a handy place to have something to eat.

DONT GO HERE. He just went to the drive through. We asked for 2 happy meals, 2 double cheeseburgers and a frappe. 1 of the happy meals and cheeseburger was supposed to be gluten free and the other happy meal and cheeseburger without mustard and pickle. Not only they changed the whole order with each other but inside of the frappe was a ALIVE FLY. We had to throw away everything.
