Our first visit today and we will definitely be back. Our family of 7 all found the atmosphere inviting and clean. The service was prompt and friendly. There is a good variety with ample gluten free options. The gluten free items were clearly marked on the menu. I ordered the gluten free chicken katsu and I enjoyed it! The ginger dressing on the salad was the best I have eaten at a restaurant. The rest of the family chose fried rice, hibachi, lo mein and sushi. The portions were just right. This tops our list for Asian cuisine!

Amazing Pizza and Service!
We had a fantastic experience with Miei Amici!! The pizza was absolutely delicious, and their gluten-free option is hands-down the best we’ve had in the St. John’s area! On top of that, they were incredibly kind and accommodating, even taking our delivery order at the last minute. Highly recommend!
We ordered takeout. The time quoted was spot on, we had hot pizza when we arrived home. We tried the gluten free pizza and the hot honey pepperoni pizza. The gluten free crust needs a little revamping, but good. The hot honey pizza was disappointing. We’ve had the lasagna pizza before and it was excellent! Not so this time. The pizza was way undercooked so the dough was almost raw under the sauce. The sauce itself was quite bland. And this is nitpicking, but the pepperoni could have been could have been more evenly distributed by a kindergartner! This was disappointing because you really needed pepperoni in each bite as the pizza was quite bland.
Great Breakfast place with great prices. Although it can get crowded and there is a bit of a wait it is worth it. If you are gluten free they have many choices. Their gluten free pancakes are delicious and you can never tell they are gluten free. They also have a great menu of breakfast items. This has become my breakfast place.
Always fresh and plenty of organic options. I eat vegan and gluten free. They cater to both these preferences with lots of animal protein options as well.
This is the BEST local coffee shop! They come up with fun seasonal drinks but also have the classics. The food options are nice and include gluten-free treats which my son loves. They also are big supporters of other local businesses and sell things like local honey, baked goods, and elderberry syrup. Traffic in front of the cafe can be crazy at certain times but it is well worth it to stop here. Oh! And the staff is also friendly, personable, and all-around amazing.
I don’t find they have many options. The only thing they have is gluten free French toast but it’s not dairy free. We can’t eat eggs dairy or gluten so this place just doesn’t accommodate well.
Amazing pizza, and the only place I know that has gluten free crust with no egg. As someone with a ton of food allergies, this place has saved me on nights where I have no energy to cook. Can't recommend enough!
We were pleased with our experience here. It was very busy when we arrived but we were greeted immediately and our order taken. They made us aware they could accommodate my husband’s gluten sensitivity. The food came quickly and was very good. Will come back.
I rarely leave harsh reviews, but I and three friends really were disappointed tonight. Our server was clearly untrained and poorly managed. We waited forever for our drinks, then we were served two and then nothing for easily 15 minutes. We would prompt our server but nothing would happen. He had an air pod in one ear the whole time. We would order another drink…and it would never arrive. One member of our party clearly communicated her need for gluten free sushi. Her order arrived and was full of gluten rich tempura! Also, the protein portions of the other meals were meager.
I honestly am so surprised this place isn’t more gluten friendly as the owner has to eat gluten free too. The food is great but there are a LOT of things that you can’t eat here. It’s not my go to spot only because it doesn’t offer more options. And some of their dishes would be so easy to make gluten free. Makes no sense.

We eat here once a week. I'm gluten free Celiac and always order Hibachi chicken gluten free with brown rice. Always excellent food. Always clean and good service.
Stopped here while traveling, looking for gluten-free options for my wife. We both got the chicken bowls. They were delicious. I wish there was one of these in our town. Very large portions, fresh food. Quick and friendly service.
Tickled to death to have found this place. I called ahead and spoke to Andy to ask questions about gluten free food preparation and options. Not often do I get a warm and fuzzy feeling about a new place, but I got it here. I asked if it's best to call my order in or place it online and he offered to take it then. The store still didn't open for another ten minutes. Shame on me for not getting the names of the two people at the counter when I picked up the order because they were delightful. The young woman was warm and welcoming, the young man was engaging and helpful. I mentioned I had called and spoke to Andy. Turns out Andy is the manager and is out of state even though he took my call (I had selected 1 to speak with manager) AND took my order. He called the store to tell them the order and to handle appropriately due to the food restrictions.
It was really nice that even though the manager was out of town, the team was still united with proper communication. It was a great experience with the staff for sure.
The burger was delicious! I do wish their was a gluten free side option, but that's ok. I will absolutely be coming back to the Burger Barn and will be sure to get the names of those individuals that helped me today, too! Thanks for a delicious lunch and taking great care of my dietary needs today. See you again soon!
Been here twice, once on a girls’ night out and again with my family (two young kids) and I’ll keep coming back.
Service is good and the food is tasty! I’d say it’s slightly more authentic than your American Italian so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 1 star off because service can slip a bit when busy, needing to find a server for water and slower wait time.
Big fan of the calamari, apricot chicken with tossed garlic linguine on side, and seafood risotto—HUGE chunks of lobster and plentiful seafood cooked well.
A couple things to note:
-No kids menu (or entertainment like crayons, not a problem)…waitress gave few options like flatbread pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and chicken tenders for the littles
-Gluten Free pasta is a minimal up charge
-Happy Hour is a must for appetizers! (Half off before 6pm—Didn’t get drinks so I can’t say anything in that regard)
Recommend: Apricot Chicken, Seafood Risotto, Chicken Parmesan, Calamari
We've been regulars since they opened & love being part of the Taps family. We always feel welcomed by the staff, management & owner.. and we appreciate their great service. Food is fantastic.. definitely not your typical bar food.. nothing frozen, everything fresh & made from scratch. Menu even has gluten free options. The bar/bartenders are wonderful.. they make a great Manhattan & Dirty Martini. And of course a large selection of interesting beers on tap. We also appreciate their rewards program, and accumulating points/discounts. Cheers!
