I was visiting in April and staying down the street. We decided to stop on our second morning there and then it was so good we returned twice more. I tried 3 separate iced drinks, which were all great. I was also thankful for gluten free food options. I tried 3 different flavors of the macarons and was happy. Each time I was served by someone different. The speed varied between them all but friendliness was top notch each time.

Great vegan/gluten free options! Also pretty authentic Californian style mexican with spice especially if you get their hot sauces! We were not sure if they were dog friendly so we ordered take out and they went above and beyond by taking the time to seat us, plate our takeout, AND bring dog water! This place and the food is BEYOND 5 stars! I will be back❤️

Fun atmosphere with lots to look at, great selection of whole roasted beans, friendly owner (she was the only one taking orders and preparing coffee/food so be patient, it's worth it). Indoor and outdoor seating available, delicious gluten free options, a great way to start the morning.

Four of us are on a tour working our way through New England and have been sampling lobster rolls from Newport to Boston to Kennebunkport. All of us agreed that these were the very best lobster rolls we have ever had! They are loaded with delicious, fresh lobster meat on perfect rolls that complement the seafood. We definitely recommend ordering them with both mayo and butter. The Clam Shack is well known and there will often be a line. But our order was ready within five minutes. We sat at picnic tables across the street from the water along the main street of Kennebunkport. Nothing fancy, but the experience was perfect. Just what we were looking for. You won’t go wrong with The Clam Shack! Bonus: I have Celiac and must be gluten free. I have never been able to order a lobster roll before. The Clam Shack has a really good gluten free roll and I was able to have my first lobster roll!

We were here on vacation. The food was good. The greens were a bit weird...a bowl of lettuce with chopped onions, no dressing. It was strange since I ordered a breakfast sandwich that came with onions and I ordered it without onions. I feel like the waitress should have mentioned that the greens were loaded with them. We had a nice experience except for that and my mom really appreciated the gluten free French toast!

I was happily surprised to have some of the best gluten-free toast id ever had here, the omelette was delicious and our infant daughter was well received and accomodated for by the staff. Thank you! Yum! 😋

I am a vegan, gluten free junky and there are few restaurants spanning from Portsmouth, NH to Portland, ME that fit that bill. Live Cafe however is one of those spots that continues to exceed my expectations every single time, from their atmosphere, customer service, and best of all, their food! These guys are top notch! I cannot recommend this spot enough, I am constantly finding excuses to head to Kennebunk, just to pop in and chow down, you should too!
