Such a great place! Beautiful scenery, great food! Plenty of parking out back!
This was our 2nd time here & very pleased, can't wait to return again. I highly recommend this place. They do have Gluten-free bread so all sandwiches ate available, omg the potato salad is so good it's the best I've ever had, smoked bacon is in it so that flavor is what makes it the best!
With a welcoming vibe and a variety of tempting options, this local gem keeps diners coming back for more.

Casey’s was great! We went here 2 nights during our stay in port Huron and had Emma and Sophie as our servers . Both of them took great care of us and understood what was cross contaminated and what was safe for me being gluten free due to celiacs. I felt safe and reassured from how they responded and acknowledged my concerns and I did not end up getting sick.
I got the cheeseburger one night and the cheesesteak the other. We love this place and will go back. Highly recommend. For celiacs do not get the pizza or fries due to the oven and fryers cross contamination but lots of sandwich options with GF bread.
A rare gem serving fresh, flavorful pizza with homemade crust, making every visit a tasty adventure worth splurging on!

Just went today for the first time. My niece had gone many times before. She has a gluten allergy and they take great care to not cross contaminate. The one girl working today even went above and beyond to make sure the cherizo on one of the pizzas is gluten free. Greatly appreciated! Got the Dragons Den and the Margarita.... So good, highly recommend!

Have been coming here for years. My son is gluten free & loves the gf pizza. But I noticed the last night ( and the time before) when we got our salad there was barely enough for 3 adults. Also the servers don't offer the fresh cheese anymore. I had to ask for some for my pasta. Just a tad annoyed
Top-notch bartending and attentive service make for a great time, ensuring a memorable experience every visit.

Wow what can I say. Karea was top of the line as a bartender. She was very attentive to my drink orders. I need that as a gluten sensitive guy. She also made sure everything was perfect with my food. Thanks again Karea, I’ll be back soon!
A nostalgic gem with a classic vibe that keeps bringing back childhood memories, plus some unique culinary twists that surprise every time!

Always a nostolgic trip coming here when i was a kid no matter which one you go to its the same kind of setup. Also i know yall have heard of chicken and waffles well try the chicken and french toast its bomb and im not even supposed to eat gluten!
Fast and friendly service.. just had to have a whopper Jr.. without the bun of course.. Celica doesn't allow the bread..I just go home and use my own gluten free bread
We had lunch at Freighters on our first sightseeing trip to Port Huron. It is in the complex of a DoubleTree hotel and conference center. We had to park very far away across a large parking lot because the lot was very full. We sat outside at a shaded umbrella table with a view of the water and Bluewater Bridge, which was lovely. Our waiter was not at all friendly but was an adequate server. No greeting like ‘welcome to Freighters’, just minimal communication to get our order. My husband’s California Chicken Club was just ok (quite flavorless he said), and the fries were hot and tasty but soggy. I ordered the Freighters House Salad without croutons, which was very tasty and fresh with delicious dressing. I am gluten free. The menu labels the Crème Brûlée as GF but there was no other GF notation. When I asked, our waiter said they offer a GF bun. The menu did include a couple V-vegan options. Not a bad experience overall, but we wouldn’t go again.
Stumble upon flavor-packed dishes, massive salads, and rich soups in a cozy spot, with helpful service making every visit delightful.

I went to the wrong restaurant! How fortuitous! There's another place down the road that has Greek salad, but once I walked in, I realized I had erred.
NOT to worry!! Judy was a gem! She was so very helpful and patient with my many questions (yes, I'm THAT customer)!
The avgolemono (egg/lemon/rice) soup was thick, rich and very flavorful!1.
That salad was ginormous; really enough for a 2nd meal.
I don't do gluten, but I splurged and had 1 piece of their homemade pita and it was deeeeelish! The house salad dressing (pink Greek) was perfect.
I might add, the coffee was pretty darn good as well.
Thanks, Judy, for all your help.
I'll be back- on purpose, next time!
The restaurant was very clean, the subs were great, the staff were friendly and took special care to not cross contaminate the gluten free bread for the person who has celiac's
Perfect for big events, this catering service offers stress-free planning and abundant delicious food that leaves guests raving!

Chef Shell catered the rehersal dinner for my son's wedding. They came and set up at the Best Western as promised and provided all the plates, napkins and utensils. The food was amazing. When you don't live in an area, finding a caterer and making arrangements from out of town for a big event is stressful, but Jeanie was great and walked me thorugh all my choices. (I am celiac and she knew every ingredient in every dish off the top of her head, so I felt very comfortable that I could eat both main dishes, as well as the root vegetables) In the end we had the BBQ Pulled Pork, Honey Glazed Chicken,. Mac & Cheese, Roasted Root Vegetables, Pasta Salad and Garden Salad. There was plenty of food for everyone and lots of leftovers. I made the leftover chicken into chicken salad for the post-wedding brunch and it was so moist. Would use them again if we ever come to Port Huron.

So much to like about this place, located downtown! It is authentically vintage and spacious, and the woodwork is beautiful. There are three levels, open air on top with some riverview. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, especially the bartender on the main floor. They make their own mixers, so my margarita with upgraded tequilla was perfect. The smoked salmon spread was delicious, and they offered gluten-free crackers. Can't wait to be back! Unfortunately you can't see their entrance or signage from Huron Ave/Business I-94.
