I enjoy coming here when going out with friends and family because of the variety of food options. They have gluten free and vegan options. On this particular visit, the service was very good. Elena at the register was very kind.
Stopped in for a quick bite for dinner. It is a safe choice for me since I am gluten free. As always classic margarita was delicious and guacamole addicting lol Super tasty surprise at the end that made it hard to leave! Another round of margaritas
The food and service were amazing! We had a party of seven and everyone’s order came out perfect! I am gluten free and my gluten free penne with white clams was wonderful! We will definitely eat there again and tell our friends! If you haven’t tried this gem of a restaurant, I highly recommend it!
Had such a great time at Mateo's! I should have taken more pictures of the food because everything we ate was fantastic. I LOVE that they have quite a few gluten free options, but I'm really hoping one day they will explicitly write which options are gluten free right on the menu - seriously, the Celiac community needs more options in Wantagh, I would have eaten here so much sooner if I knew GF was available!! But our waitress Evelyn was so lovely and knew right away which options were gluten free for me. The street corn and birria tacos stuck out as my favorites. I already can't wait to go back and try more.
The grilled Romain salad was not to our liking. The tuna tartare with avocado was very fresh and delicious, pork and fish tacos were very good .Thai curry bouillabaisse was excellent. Great atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Gluten free options available.

We were there last night for our daughter's birthday we had 5 young teens and 8 adults they gave us a semi private room. Our server Andrea was amazing she was pleasant efficient and extremely friendly. We were a very loud group and she was great. The food was excellent and the priced were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place and go back again. My son in law can only have gluten free and they were very accommodating and took that very seriously his meal great also.
I catered lunch for 10 people from Escorzas and everything was delicious and fresh! The manager, Rene was friendly and responsive and made sure everything was gluten free for our guest with Celiacs. They even opened early for us on a Saturday to accommodate the start time of our party! I highly recommend them if you need some delicious food for an event!
My husband and I held and engagement party for our daughter at our home. As part of the array of food we had Pies on Wheels. They were great! Not only did they make great pizza but they easily catered to the gluten free and vegetarians in the crowd as well. In addition, they have fabulous homemade gelato. If your having a party and are considering a food truck I would definitely recommend them.
