Our waiter Emma was great and our food was amazing! My husband got the chicken parmigiana he said it was the best he has ever had. I got gluten free pasta with bolognese and it was cooked perfectly, most places tend to over cook gluten free pasta. I have celiac disease and they were knowledgeable about gluten free and can confirm I did not get sick. I got the drink called the happy accident and it was delicious. We look forward to eating there again when we are in town again.

This was the most lovely afternoon tea I have ever been to! We took a bachelorette party for their full afternoon tea and had the best time. The owners were so kind and accommodating for our large party. We absolutely loved the food and they even were able to accommodate a gluten free menu! We will be back anytime we are in town!
You’ll love the unique vibe and tasty options that cater to special dietary needs while offering delicious flavors everyone can enjoy!

Beware hidden fees! We had lunch where the dishes we ordered, a seafood Udon soup, and crispy fish, were already quite high for lunch, $24 and $22, respectively. What we didn’t expect was the double charge for hot tea that we shared (one tea bag!), the 4% up charge for using a credit card, and the $3 up charge for “allergy modification “ on an item labeled gluten free on the menu.
The receipt was not itemized, so we later went to ask for the reason the total was $9 more than expected. We were shown the fine pront at the bottom of the menu about the gluten free up charge. I am not sure if the credit card up charge was on the menu anywhere.
The food tasted good apart from being too salty. But both of us experienced gastrointestinal upset for a day after eating there.
Enjoy a vibe that blends Italian and American delights, complemented by attentive service and tempting desserts, making every visit memorable.

Anna was amazing! We’re visiting here - and she made it such a great experience. She helped me find something gluten free + was really sweet to our family. She went above and beyond and I really wanted to make sure to leave a review because she genuinely cares and wanted to provide a good experience. Thank you Anna! The food was really good and we will most definitely be back!
Very nice little place to get a good breakfast or lunch. Only real trouble was limited staff so during our soccer tournament, with lots of families coming through, it was a huge wait. But that's to be expected. I had a Belgian waffle. My Celiac girls had eggs, sausage, grits, and home fries and had no issues. Would definitely recommend this place when in Banner Elk.
The little café serves a creative lunch menu. I was surprised to see a gluten-free bread option, but unfortunately, they were out that day. The staff (owners maybe) were super awesome.
