The food was SO good.. we shared the Tex Mex salad and loved it. And then I had a chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun, BEST gluten free bun I’ve ever had. It was so nice to have this option because it’s hard to find. Also EMMA is a gem, such a sweet waitress who was attentive and kind .. a pro. We will 10/10 be back!
Abysmal, honestly. I travel for work often, and side note that I’m actually from West TN originally, and I like to try local pizza joints. I absolutely have to have gluten free options, though, so finding a local spot with such options is reason to celebrate. Usually. Not this past Monday evening, though. I remember passing a Marco’s on my way to Zander’s, knowing I could get the kind of quality I look for regardless of the crust. And now I am extremely disappointed that I didn’t just go ahead and stop there instead. Hindsight, etc. etc., as they say. I stopped by Zander’s to carry out. The girls at the front were nice enough, took my order - gluten free crust small, pepperoni, light sauce (see receipt). See photos for what I received. Also accepting my own responsibility in this since I didn’t check it before I left, but you know… I figure fellow country folks know how to cook, something I’m no longer taking for granted. Now, light sauce can be pretty subjective, but what I received clearly was not (yes, I peeled the pepperonis off before I took the photo, salvaging whatever I could). At least, not on the right half of my pizza. I ate the left half because I was hungry after a day of traveling. But the cheese situation was similar on that side, too. Not only was the cheese lacking altogether, but the mottling of the cheese was also very off-putting. Fine to have a signature cheese blend, but make sure it’s consistent with what you advertise online. There’s definitely some variance in texture and consistency with what they advertise, but it’s far more appealing in that warm, rustic way on the photos online. What I got was far from it.
I wish I had gotten even a frozen GF pizza at this point. It was that disappointing. The next time I stop through Dickson for business or to visit with family, I will not be stopping here. And my mama n’ ‘em are going to hear all about it. I even tipped $2 for a carry out order. A little extra care could have been taken here…
Very much appreciate this dunkin!!! Recently started a gluten free diet and was starving at like 4am. Super patient and willing to help my husband with ordering individual ingredients that I ate together at home. 😀 They were a little confused but super helpful with making sure everything was separated and it all was delicious!! And I didn't get sick. So thank you and sorry for the complicated order!😅
Rhonda was our server & totally made the entire experience a great one for us! I have to be on a very restrictive diet right now, but she was so reassuring & kind about my requests. I didn't get sick after eating there, and that's a pretty big deal because eating out is pretty tricky for me these days. My burger was Gluten-Free (just meat, no seasonings, no bun/ wrapped in lettuce), and I was able to get a good- sized salad from the small salad bar that was very adequate for what I needed. I also loved that they had bottles of salad dressing rather than the tubs of it b/c it allowed me to read the ingredient list myself to see what I could have. I hadn't thought I'd be able to have dressing or much of anything there that day (small local places in small towns aren't generally known for being knowledgeable of dietary restrictions or willing to accommodate them), but I was very pleasantly surprised. My food was delicious, my burger was cooked well, and I left feeling satisfied. Well done, Rhonda & gang!
Asked for shrimp but got chicken - otherwise a very good restaurant. Loved the cheese dip and chips. Flan was great. There were several gluten free options.
My wife and I really enjoy the burgers and onion rings here! One of the few places that my wife enjoys the turkey burger with an actual good gluten free bun and I really like the ole Harry's burger with pimento. You have to get some of their delicious ranch for the onion rings. We still need to come and try their breakfast and brunch but just haven't yet but we will! Staff was great and the owner Luke is super chill and nice every time we've been. Will for sure come back again.
