Yum 😋🩷Being in El Paso, I was in the mood for some Mexican. Taconeta hit the spot! I can’t eat gluten but the gentleman taking orders said every taco was ok but to avoid the Brisket Confit. The fish and shrimp tacos could be grilled rather than fried. Let me tell you - that grilled shrimp taco was *devine*. I should be back to El Paso again in September and I’m already planning on making Taconeta my first stop! I also got the Horchata to drink and it was very refreshing. I’m picky with my Horchata but this one was solid. Will order that again as well. Hopefully I’ll be back at dinner next time and can try one of the tasty looking margaritas. Shout out to the staff for being so friendly as well. 10/10
Expect a mix of knowledgeable and less informed staff, so asking questions can lead to accommodations and a tailored experience.

Not all staff was knowledgable about what menu items contained gluten. Fried gluten-free items are not in a shared fryer. They did accommodate me with a gluten-free meal. You may just need to ask to speak to someone who knows about gluten-free menu options if you're sticking to a gluten-free diet.

Everyone was super nice when we walked in, but this is not a place to eat for vegetarians who also have celiac disease (despite having gluten free markings on their menu). We should have been able to have the nachos and the vegan pazole; however, the chips are made in a shared fryer. The very thing that should be GF, is not thanks to ineptitude in the kitchen.
This spot is a personal gem where you can chat with the owner and enjoy a menu mostly featuring corn-based options.

We were visiting family and they brought us to Mama's cause they love to eat there. My husband has Celiac disease and when I asked about shared fryers the owner was there and she stated that no flour or wheat products go into her fryers. They only things she said that was wheat based was flour tortillas and she only used those for a few dishes otherwise it was all corn based. We loved the food and my husband had no issues. I loved that we were able to talk to the owner about the options! I would highly recommend Mama's!
Love the fast service and the online ordering, makes it easier for me. It has an authentic flavor, food is always fresh and warm. It's also one of the few restaurants I can order that is gluten and dairy free. They are definitely not stingy with the guac either😅
Known for its exceptional steak and crispy tripitas, this spot offers mouthwatering flavors with tasty sides and sauces that elevate the experience.

With phenomenal pastor tacos that shine, just watch out for pesky seeds in the limonada and extra charge for pineapple!

The pastor tacos are fantastic and gluten friendly. Unfortunately all the other meat they have is marinated in soy sauce. I honestly don't care though because these tacos are phenomenal. I would have given them five stars only I ordered the limonada and there were so many damn seeds. I had mouthfuls of seeds every time I pulled a sip from the straw. To the point I had to pinch the straw with my teeth or strain my damn drink. Also Al pastor from what I understand comes with pineapple. You have to pay extra for the pineapple. I honestly didn't mind that they didn't come with pineapple. I highly recommend with cheese though!!
