This place has changed a lot since the last taco place that was there. They have remodeled the inside and it feels a lot more open and brighter. I had the Fleeing Californian, the OG, and chips & queso. They use 6-inch tortillas, so the portion size is bigger than regular street tacos. The meat was tender & juicy, and they are generous with their toppings. They also make it easy to identify which menu items are gluten-free. Definitely recommend trying them!

I can’t understand why it is so hard for the employees here and the manager to follow a simple order ticket. The only reason we continue to eat here is because my daughter needs Gluten Free. I understand it’s hard to find good help but I’m pretty patient since I owned a successful restaurant for years. 9 out of 10 trips to this Costa Vida go the same every time. My daughter and I send our orders in on the app separately. I always show up at least 10 minutes late because I know the orders won’t be ready whether they’re busy or slow. Tonight there were 5 customers sitting at 2 tables (3 & 2). 2 people waiting for their orders, 1 before me and 1 after. I tell them our names, we order the same exact thing everytime. As usual, they haven’t started making it. When I arrived, 2 employees are standing at the food line waiting for customers to come in. The girl runs the tickets off and takes them to the back. I wait for over 15 minutes. They finally bring the orders up. I always have to check them because again, 9 out of 10 times the order is wrong. First I notice the queso is missing, chips are there but no queso. As usual, one Baja bowl that is suppose to have no toppings except the chips is smothered in pico and other toppings. It’s ordered without because it can’t be eaten so I have to ask them to remake it. 10 minutes later the 1 little Baja bowl comes back up. There is suppose to be extra chicken and extra chips (it’s paid for). They usually put them in little cups. Trust me this Baja bowl they bring up had nothing extra on it. I mention to the girl, there is suppose to be extra chicken and extra chips. She tries reassuring me that “she’s sure they made it like it said.” First of all, not sure why she would be so confident it’s correct when she knows they always make it wrong. Their way of dealing with issues is to ignore the customer. She starts helping someone else so I just leave. While I was waiting the second time for the order to be made, there’s no one in the restaurant in line so I ask, who I think is the manager. Hi, I’m wondering if they wait until the customer comes in with an order on the app to actually start making the order. I asked very nicely, trying to figure out their system. A customer walks up to the line right then, so his way of dealing with my question was to mumble something, and walk off to help the other customer. Like I say, it’s always been thier way there, avoid and ignore!! It’s to bad they can’t find better management to help work out some of these issues. Good luck

Probably one of the best places for truly authentic Mexican food. Great food, lots of gluten free options. Place is a bit small and gets busy, but definitely worth it.

I really was teetering between a 3 and 2. The place really was just “ok” to me. First the good. I have a gluten allergy, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about which of their dishes had gluten and which did not. Most of their dishes could be made or were already made gluten free. So I greatly appreciated that, and it’s honestly why I gave them any stars. Also I did not get sick, so that is significant to me. All servers were wearing masks. Though many were worn incorrectly. Social distancing wasn’t really a thing either. Now the bad. Honestly, I really just think they are crazy over priced for the food you get! I miss the genuine Mexican restaurants that charge a dollar for street tacos. I got the mango shrimp. And honestly it was just ok. I felt like the flavors between the mango, mushrooms and rice/beans just clashed. It wasn’t bad but I didn’t finish it either. And the way they spread out their portions, they make it look like you’re getting tons of food, but it’s actually just spread out really thin across the plate. For a $15 dish, I expected a much tastier meal. And this was not that. If I’m gona pay $15 for a dish, I’ll go to Xetava, where their food is very high quality, and I wind up with left overs. Also, their chips are corn, but fried in the same frier as their wheat containing products. So they’re not gluten free. Which was honestly really annoying as most places make their chips gf. I just love sitting at the table while everyone else goes on about how amazing the chips are, and I can’t even try them. I’ll probably come back, because I would still like to try their taquitos (though I didn’t even check if they’re made in the same frier with gluten products) but still, $9 for a pair of taquitos is just ludicrous. When I do think of coming back, I just remember the price and think, never mind.

There is absolutely no possible way to get ahold of the physical restaurant because they have a stupid corporate answering system where someone in their bedroom working form home answers. The only way they can get ahold of the restaurant is by email. Super helpful. I had to call them to tell them to change their gloves and wash surfaces due to my wife's Celiac Disease. Because DoorDash doesn't have a special request option for Chipotle, the site specifically says this location has chosen not to accept special requests. So good job Chipotle, you likely contaminated my wife's dinner. Now she gets to eat frozen pizza instead of a nice salad. So we wasted a good amount of money for a mean she can't eat. Hope this makes it to the suggested changes box and changes real fast.

Really excellent Mexican food. The burritos are as big as my forearm. The Carne Asada and Al Pastor are really amazing! The half order of nachos sits 7 inches off the top of the plate. Service is fast and the prices are good for the large portions of food you get. You could split the half order of nachos between 2 people easily. The flavor is really the thing that brings you back. There is a salsa bar where you can make your own, and they carry a wide variety of drinks. The salsa bar has chopped onions, cilantro, Pico de gallo, fresh sliced limes, and mild, medium and super hot salsa. The mild salsa is no heat at all. The green medium kind of like a mild salsa to me, but the hot 🔥 is 🥵 very very hot. Put a drop on my tongue and it cooked my mouth. This is good for those that like it hot 🔥!!! Traditional Mexican food with a little flare!! If you are a gluten free person, this is the place for you. Many of their dishes are done with corn instead of flour.

Visiting Snow Canyon from Arizona. Great food, friendly staff. Would highly recommend. I'm gluten free and vegan and had some awesome tacos! The rest of my party had no food restrictions and loved every bite!
