We came around 1pm and the place was almost empty. They accommodate glutenfree (Pasta Option and a couple of meats). Service was okay but the food took forever and was mediocre. Wouldn’t come back.
Discover a vibrant spot in historic Mexico City, known for its stunning decor and elevated flavors in a cozy atmosphere.

Dined on Oct 14, 2024 based on strong reviews about their ability to accommodate allergies, but unfortunately left feeling that my dietary restrictions were not taken seriously.
Upon arrival, the hostess asked if anyone in our party had allergies. I informed her that I have Celiac disease and a tree nut/peanut allergy. She relayed this to our server upon seating us. I also provided the server with printed allergy cards (in both English and Spanish), which he took a photo of for future reference. However, he did not read them at that time.
As we began ordering, I found myself needing to ask detailed questions about each dish to determine whether it was safe, as I wasn’t confident the server fully understood the severity or specifics of my allergies. For instance, I asked about the blackened octopus dish, which included tempura. I inquired if it was made with rice or wheat flour—he confirmed it was wheat, and simply told me to order something else. I would have appreciated more proactive guidance through the menu to identify safe options rather than needing to question each item myself.
I also specifically asked him to review the Spanish side of my allergy cards, as I suspected some of the details were being lost in translation. However, he appeared to skim only the beginning before returning the cards.
We ordered: pulled duck tostadas, molcajeteada with fresh (non-fried) corn tortillas, the seasonal chef’s tamal, pork ribs, al pastor tacos, and wagyu skirt tacos.
At one point, another server brought a complimentary sope with beans, avocado sauce, and chilies. I had to ask whether it was safe for me to eat (it was).
Later, during the tableside preparation of molcajeteada salsa, our server asked if the “deep-fried” peppers used were safe for me. I once again raised concerns about the fryer and potential cross-contact. He confirmed it was not safe and quickly stopped the other server from proceeding.
After the molcajeteada, there was a noticeable lull in service. Eventually, our server returned with a dessert menu, despite us still waiting on several dishes we had ordered. When we inquired, he checked the system and said, “No, it’s not working,” without further explanation.
At that point, we requested the bill and left.
Unfortunately, I did not feel safe dining here. While there was some initial acknowledgment of my allergies, the follow-through and attentiveness throughout the meal were lacking, leaving me uneasy and disappointed.
Expect stunning sunset views from the balcony, delicious dishes, and a vibrant atmosphere that keeps the energy high on weekends.

We had reservations and seated immediately. The restaurant was full on a Saturday. Fabian was our waiter and he was wonderful. We were seated at the balcony edge. It is a bit chilly and people take photos there to look over the plaza but we did not care
The food here was the best we have had and great value.
We started with wine all from Mexico. Choices limited however we were happy with our choices. Next we had the salad with bacon and spiced nuts. Tacos we had the fish and octopus. Fish was better. Next steak and fish. The steak was perfectly cooked and the mustard sauce was a perfect compliment. The fish was very good but the steak was better. Lastly we had a slight communication lapse where I got the almond ice cream and cream cone and my daughter got the sorbet. She is gluten free and we thought we ordered two sorbets but it was fine We just did nit share that item. They also brought gluten free crackers instead of bread. Very accommodating.
The views were beautiful at sunset the food was delicious the service great. I would definitely recommend
Tacos de pastor shine here with a vibrant atmosphere, good vibes, and prices that won't break the bank.

I really liked the tacos. Most things are made from corn, so I was able to eat here without any problems although according to me there are no extra gluten-free options.
