Delicious breakfast at Pernikkel! The eggs benedict and the five-spice chicken are definitely recommended! The American pancakes and the Groninger 10 o'clock are also great. Everything is junk-free and homemade and you can taste it. They also have plant-based alternatives to milk such as oats. You can also ask for gluten-free bread. Everything is purchased locally. They also have a cozy upstairs! And recently you can also have cheese fondue there 🧀 this is highly recommended, especially with truffle cheese. The pumpkin spice latte is also highly recommended and the loaded fries!

This experience was incredible. We have had a few fine dining experiences and Hanasato delivers exactly this in terms of service. The food (and drinks) were an experience in itself. The servers knew exactly what to recommend in terms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to accompany the food. This evening I decided to deal with the gluten/lactose (since the menu is not gluten/lactose heavy), but I heard from the server that they have no problems with intolerances. Unfortunately we were downstairs and not upstairs, there was quite a difference in atmosphere. They have many alternatives if you need to eat gluten free. Staff also well informed about what is or can be made gluten free. The tortilla chips and Mexican hot sauce are freshly made and delicious. The guacamole was a bit bland but freshly made. Stew and tacos enchiladas were okay. So the food was good everywhere, but not fantastic.
