We had a party of 8 over a weekday lunch. It was surprisingly busy, but we didn't have trouble getting seated. There was a wide selection of menu options and all very tasty. They have a whole separate gluten free menu! The options including spicy flavours (like gochujang) weren't very spicy, but the ingredients were all very fresh. The nachos got rave reviews at our table. (We had nachos, fish tacos, tuna poke bowls, Santa fe chicken bowls, tomato soup)
A hidden gem in Guelph with a lively atmosphere and a great mix of dishes that everyone seems to love; arrive early for parking!

Made a reservation for a table for 7 at 5:30pm on a Wednesday to celebrate a friend's retirement. I let the server know that 2/7 of the party needed gluten free options, which were noted on the menu. Once our party all arrived, ordered & were enjoying cocktails, she brought out 2 plates of bread with olive oil. I asked if either were gluten free, to which she replied no. I asked if she could bring a plate of gluten free & she said it would take 15 minutes, suggesting to me our food was on its way, so I declined. After 1¾hr, I had to ask where our order was. Of course, in 2 minutes. We finally got our meals at close to 8pm. Yes, they were busy but we didn't order anything that required long periods of cooking - most of our mains were salads. Very disappointing experience. Won't be back.
Loved the vibrant atmosphere and cozy seating options, perfect for special occasions or casual nights out with friends!

Had dinner for 9 on a Saturday night. F
ood was excellent, didn't take too long, very good for such a big party. As always, they take gluten-free seriously for celiacs. Only thing I can complain about is the lack of gluten-free options for dessert. Highly recommend.
A cozy, artsy spot with unique vibes perfect for sipping hot drinks and enjoying lively conversations over delicious desserts.

Atmosphere is great, and the food you get is delicious. Communication between kitchen and waitstaff is a mess. My ordered drink didn’t get into the system. An item labelled gf the waitress said had gluten, then gf, once I’d decided what else to try. So I ordered the first item and it came on a regular bun and they were out of gf buns. Kids meals are advertised to come with dessert which wasn’t offered or delivered. My partner and kids’ food was really nice, server was friendly and I enjoyed my salad.
Known for its amazing atmosphere and top-notch pizza, it's a popular spot that gets really busy, so call ahead for takeout!

Favourite high end restaurant in Guelph, and the best pizza in the city.
My wife and I frequent Manhattan's. She has celiac disease and staff are always receptive to her gluten allergy.
It is difficult to get takeout depending on time; so I recommend calling as early as possible before it gets too busy.
The music is always amazing and staff are welcoming, kind, and respectful.
Expect a must-visit spot with a great vibe, accommodating service, and a menu that's got something for everyone to enjoy!

We enjoyed the food, the fact that we the seating is spacious and comfortable. MJ was a great server; offered options, gave advice, helped us choose our choices. I am celiac and the chef at this location has always gone above and beyond for my dietary needs requirements. A five star experience 9/10.
A trendy spot with a vibrant atmosphere, offering a wide range of fresh, made-to-order options that keep loyal fans coming back for more.

The curried potatoes are a nice twist.
And the cookies are as big as your hand!
Also, the service is top notch - very attentive!

This incredible restaurant added a bottomless brunch option and I did not disappoint. Ala Carte and Buffett which was mostly gluten free, dj playing great 🎵 and great service.

Overall a solid breakfast choice. Lots of selection, vegan & gluten free options. The place is busy so service is a little slow. The staff is friendly. The robo-waiter plays Happy Birthdy the whole time. Decent food choices, a bit pricey but it hits the breakfast spot for sure!
Crispy crust, creative toppings, and great daily deals make this spot a fantastic choice for a fun family pizza night.

We ordered catering from Diwa for a birthday and we were absolutely blown away by the care in service! We needed gluten free meals for family with celiac disease and Inderveer uncle was so kind and fully understood the requirements involved. We got Chicken Tikka Masala, jeera rice, and gajjer halwa. They took extra care to make sure everything was made gluten free but also packed separately as well!
We also got samosas, aloo gobi and naan as well! Everyone was complimenting the samosas especially, saying they were amazingly crispy and some of the best they’ve had.
Thanks to everyone at Diwa for making Indian cuisine accessible and delicious for the celiac community I highly recommend them!

First time dining at The Wooly, and will also be the last.
Made reservations and got a nice table for four people in a cozy room next to a portable fireplace. When the lights went dim, service staff offered a magnifier with light for my mother which was a nice touch and appreciated. Environment was welcoming and friendly. Staff appeared to be aware of the patrons and safety-conscious, which is why the experience was ultimately so upsetting.
I ordered the Smokey BBQ Burger on a Gluten Free bun, with a side of fries. The server took the time to point out that the fries were not cooked in a separate fryer from other gluten-containing items, which was a green flag that he understood why I was asking for the special bun, and that he took the request seriously.
When the food arrived, the Burger looked fantastic. It looked and felt like a real "normal" bun, which is exceedingly rare for a Gluten Free bun. This should have been my first clue. The taste should have been my second. It tasted fantastic, just like real bread. I should have stopped right there. It may have been too late, but I should have notified the server that this was almost certainly real bread. It was way too good to be true. Instead, my hunger, instincts, maybe my trust, or perhaps just desire to eat some real carbs again took over and the burger was devoured before I knew it.
As I settled and noticed my stomach starting to.. misbehave, I glanced around at some of my fellow diners. Some of them had burgers or chicken burgers. The buns looked exactly like mine. A sense of dread crept up on me. I held out hope that this still wasn't the case, that perhaps the Wooly had created the greatest, most authentic Gluten Free hamburger bun the world has seen.
As we left the Pub the feeling in my stomach got worse. And when we arrived at our evening event at the Sleeman Centre (Wooly is within close proximity and about a 7 minute walk), my experience was soon interrupted by some particularly unpleasant time alone in the facilities that confirmed what had indeed happened. While I hesitate to mention any details, the after-effects carried over well into the next day and the suffering continues.
I accept a great deal of responsibility for what happened and what I consumed, but I leave this as a warning to individuals who may have allergy concerns, dietary restrictions, or other needs with their food. I wanted to love the Wooly, and although there were no other concerns with the experience, this mistake is a very, very big one, could potentially be life-threatening to some, and it's a mistake that just can't be made in a modern kitchen.
Experience an authentic vibe with plenty of flavorful options and generous portions, but be ready to plan ahead for specialty items.

Excellent Ethiopian food, very flavourful and quick to order. Loved the Veggie platter for two (I ate it all myself but it easily would feed two / three normal meals). My wife is celiac and they mention gluten free injera but you have to call ahead for it so she wasn’t able to eat (hence the veggie platter all to myself). I knocked a few stars off for atmosphere as the bathrooms could use a good clean. Otherwise food and service is excellent and value for money is incredible. Will definitely return

This cafe was recommended. Cute exterior. Cozy interior decor with art on walls and lots of windows. Service was good. Gluten free brownie was small and lacked flavour and freshness. Both the chai latte and the regular latte were very good. Next time we are in Guelph we’ll return, and recommend to others.
We ordered takeaway from Wok's Taste in late December 2019.
The restaurant was incredibly accommodating of our gluten free and vegan needs and made ordering super easy.
We called in a large order for 8 people (for delivery) and they were able to get it all together in about 40 min - probably more like 35 min.
Not only did the restaurant provide suggestions and helpful info when we called, they were all too happy to offer to veganize many popular dishes, and we did not have to explain that we needed the dishes to be animal free, oyster sauce free and egg free.
The cost was reasonable, and the friend that picked up the food for us exclaimed how clean and pleasant the restaurant was on arrival to pick up the order (which was waiting for pick up, and which was still hot, on arrival at our home). (Dinner for 8 was in the $70. range before tax. Yes! Less than $10. per person!)
The pleasant nature of the order taker, the willingness to accommodate our vegan order and the speed with which our order was assembled guarantees that we'll order from Wok's Taste again, in the near future.
Please note, the fortune cookies at Wok's Taste are not vegan - there are other Chinese food restaurants in Guelph that do offer vegan fortune cookies, but this is of no consequence as our experience with Wok's Taste has been great.
We definitely recommend this place for great takeaway!
BEST Gluten free pizza in town!!! Best pizza sauce. Family favourite pizza place. Super generous on their toppings. Lots of options for meat and veggie toppings. You can actually get a medium sized Gluten free pizza here instead of a small. Delicious and incredible! Only pizza place we will order from now!! Great prices too! 100% all around best place for pizza in the city! Take out, delivery, whatever you want. Whenever we order delivery it's ALWAYS been WAY earlier than online predicts! Which is a huge plus!
Expect a warm atmosphere with an array of unique options that make it a must-visit—just be sure to snag a reservation!

Michael the server was amazing. Very knowledgeable on gluten & dairy free requirements. Extremely friendly, and created an amazing experience. Welcoming from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. He gave great recommendations for appetizers, entrees, wine and desert. Highly recommend. Make a reservation.
Great experience tonight. The girl that took my order was so nice and patient with me despite having to exchange my order cause I forgot to ask for no gluten!

Table of 10. Waitress was friendly, they ran out of gluten free buns so they gave us free nachos and sweet potato fries. Kids loved playing cornhole and galaga. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely come back.
Drove from Cambridge to Guelph to try this place for the first time...So happy I did!! The salad was loaded and delicious. The potatoes and rice were cooked perfectly.
I also tried their gluten free pizza and wasn’t disappointed!
My order had a few modifications so when the staff was handing me my things, they went over every modification and didn’t mess anything up :) thanks!!
For those who complain that it takes so long...I had to wait about 8 minutes past my pickup time, but it’s clear they are working hard to make lots of orders at once because it’s a very popular place. To me that shows it’s worth the wait :)
Charming patio and clearly marked menu options make this spot a perfect choice for a relaxed dining experience.

I was very disappointed when I arrived at the restaurant to discover the many gluten free options on the menu were not gluten free at all. We had limited time available, and I thought I was choosing a spot that took food allergies seriously. False advertising. People with serious food allergies are always looking for safe places to eat out.....this place is NOT one of them.
Amazing customer service and fresh halal options make this spot a must-visit in Guelph for a fantastic dining experience.

Customer service was amazing!! Food was extremely fresh and one of the best places in Guelph that is halal. The staff are always helpful and helped me pick which meal would be good in accordance with my gluten free diet. Would recommend everyone to visit here!
Hubby (walk in) ordered a pizza and was not given a sticker as he was told that management said they weren't doing the sticker thing any more. This would have been the tenth sticker collected with this pizza, meaning that after 10 stickers the next pizza is free. This was dropped with no notice with a 'we're not doing that anymore' despite the already collected nine stickers. I did give one star as the pizza is good (but not the gluten one) and you have to give at least one star to give a review here. The taste of a good pizza turns rancid with business practices like that.
Just ordered a gluten free cauliflower pizza from Ginos today - was the best I've ever had so far in Guelph. I tried Dominoes (also really good), Pizza Pizza, & Victorias Pizza but this one has been the best so far. Makes me wish i tried this one sooner. My plan is to try all the gluten free pizzas in Guelph and find the best but I think I may stop now.
Went there for lunch a little after 11:00 am ( and it gets busy very quickly) and ordered a burger in a bowl ( last time I had a lettuce wrap so no bun) and mentioned that I have a gluten allergy - they immediately put punched in special instructions and all the staff were made aware to change their gloves, and to be careful about touching my burger. I was able to watch the prep and everyone did a great job. The fries are delicious and the burgers are great. My only complaint is that there are nowhere near enough tables and chairs for people. They seem to have more room down the hall-or if they took those bags of potatoes out of the way they could fit more in. But other than that, I look forward to eating their often!
