We had invited a diverse group of employees with numerous culinary restrictions including vegetarian and Celiac. The staff was well educated on Celiac disease. The menu had numerous options available and they were easily able to accommodate each individual. The food and service were exceptional. This morning as we reflected on the experience we agreed that we want to return to this restaurant.
Being a celiac is difficult when you're on the road. Wendy's is great because they have baked potatoes and other things. Today I was able to get a lettuce wrapped burger! Thanks Wendy's
Churchill's put on a fantastic New Year's staff party last night for Burger World. My wife and I are vegan and she is gluten free. Normally we predict that we'll get a garden salad, pasta, and fruit salad at these types of events but Churchill's went above and beyond and absolutely delighted us with an incredible meal that met all of our dietary requirements while being remarkably pleasing to the tastebuds! Thank you Churchill's!
Quinn was our server and we were happy to have her! Quinn works super hard and is super accommodating with our "all you can eat salad needs" lol. Thanks for great service to the #1 server again!
As a side note, the other workers (all men) were standing around doing nothing. Quinn was the only server helping out and had to ask for salads etc to be ready a second time, also they are unable to follow direction on what kinds of things to omit i.e. loose croutons in the salads that were gluten free, added tomato and olive when requested to have them omitted. The table service was excellent but unfair to Quinn as these other staff should have been helping the only server on the floor. Quite disgusting watching the cook in the back flipping pizza dough so close to his face as he talked and laughed with two other male staffers. They were doing nothing, no bread available because they didn't cook it in time for the dinner rush! This location used to be our favorite but it has gone down hill quite a bit and that's unfortunate.
Just stopped for the first time, and the reason we choose WW is because of their very comprehensive allergen menu posted online - most appreciated, especially in their differentiation of gluten levels! We weren't disappointed, as the atmosphere was fun, the staff was friendly, and the burgers were delicious :) Would definitely go back.
An excellent bar and restaurant! Great to have gluten free options for me. The food was excellent. Accommodating and friendly staff. I highly recommend The Portage!
