Enjoy unique pizzas like Patate with creamy mashed potatoes and a flaky crust, though prices can be a bit steep.

This is the worst gluten free pizza I've ever had, and they charge an extra $7 dollars for it! If you want GF pizza go to Next Door pizza, they have the best in the area

The have a gluten free Injera option. I think it is called “black” when served gluten-free. Based on the servers explanation, this seems to be the preferred method as it tears easier.
I have never had Ethiopian food. I was really really impressed with the flavors. This restaurant has set the bar high. I would definitely come again if I am in the area!
Tucked away in a quiet alley, this vibrant spot offers a fabulous atmosphere and a great variety of options for a fun night out.

Excellent menu with a wide selection of options including gluten free and vegan. The cocktails are awesome too, it's a great place to grab a quick drink, a quick bite, or to eat and chat for a long time
Enjoy deliciously juicy nuggets in a casual spot with efficient service, though the atmosphere could use a little cleaning up.

This review is for the street level fast food restaurant storefront specializing in chicken nuggets. The gluten friendly chicken nuggets were excellent--little chunks of real chicken (not processed) cooked to a juicy light golden brown. The french fries were good. The little bags that the chicken and fries came in was foil lined, so I imagine that would be great for keeping take out orders warm on a chilly night. The staff who took my order at the counter were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere rating is a 3 because the tables were dirty and the seating area needed tidying up.
Unique spices and great margaritas make this spot a must-visit, especially for summer fans enjoying table side guac and flavorful tacos.

Margarita pitchers (GOOD margaritas) and table side guac, never fails! The shrimp tacos are phenomenal. All chips and tacos are corn tortillas / gluten free!

All the crepes can be made gluten free since they use rice flour for the batter. Make certain to consult with an employee who knows which fillings are / are not gluten free since some are better informed than others.
Most recently I had the gluten free Matcha Azuki Bean crepe (i.e. without custard, nuts, or pocky sticks), which tasted amazing! The chocolate gelato is also heavenly!
A charming spot with outdoor seating where pizza lovers can enjoy delicious pies and even pick fresh basil right from the pot!

Our entire family was so blessed by this pizza place during our visit in New Haven! Their pizza is delicious with great gluten-free options, and the service is very friendly and generous! We enjoyed the clean, outdoor seating (although they do have indoor as well), and it was good to see they deliver. Highly recommend! May the Lord bless you!
Stunning views and an impressive menu make this spot a must-visit, creating a memorable experience worth traveling for.

Lunch before dropping family member at train. Beautiful views. Food is excellent. Accommodated gluten free requests easily.
Update: Visited again on 10/16/23. Some changes on the menu that were outstanding. Wish this place was closer. Our waiter was particularly great!
Vibrant flavors and a lively atmosphere make for an enjoyable spot, though some feel the music could be toned down for easier conversation.

Food was wonderful! Great flavors, many gluten free options, service excellent- attentive and warm and friendly. Waiter Lucas was terrific! Would have liked music to be a little lower, a bit loud for conversation.

Rawa is a gem in Westville, New Haven neighborhood. The staff is always so kind and they have a great rotating selection of cocktails and mocktails. Their dishes (which have many options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian) have so much flavor and quality olive oil with the right amount of subtle spices. Our favorites are the baba ghanouj, the tabbouleh, and any of the biryani dishes. If you save room for dessert, the baklava is absolutely to die for.
I liked it better when it was India palace and traditional tandoori food. The naan came out last?!The pakoras and samosas were fried and, burnt, deep fried and likely frozen to start. Really not authentic at all. They don't even give you the chutney and dips with stuff. Horrible service, no knowledge of what is actually vegan or gluten free, they told my aunt, who has a severe allergy, that whole wheat roti was gluten free. Also the roti was indistinguishable from the naan, it just didn't have gi on it... Worst place to take a date or to bring family. Lack of real options. Main plates even seemed like they were pure made and warmed up. Severly overpriced and packed to the gills with little space between tables. I got ill after eating there too, probably because it was so packed and the food was so grimey.
A chic spot blends modern vibes with classic Italian details, featuring a unique wine vault and a vibrant drink menu but can get noisy during peak hours.

Interesting little place in New Haven. Unique inside with a bank vault storing wine. Attentive servers and great menu. The four of us each enjoyed our different dishes of meat lovers pizza, gluten free pasta w shrimp, seared salmon and steak salad.
Drinks were also good and well made.
Biggest complaint is the noise level. The music speaker sounded blown with much humming and crackle for all bass noise and then as the place filled from 6:15-8 pm it became too noisy to hear people next to me.
We eventually left and sat outside to visit. Might dine here again but won’t go on a Friday or during peak dining.
My friend bought me a gluten-free cupcake and it was absolutely delicious. I have personally haven't had the opportunity to visit Claire's, but from what I've tasted and heard this is a pretty terrific place to go! I especially love that there are gluten-free options for people to select.
We ordered via a delivery service while staying in New Haven. I got their nachos and fried cauliflower bites and was blown away by how great everything tasted. Awesome gluten free options and vegan as well. The guacamole I paid extra for was a generous portion (I've gotten a little condiment container filled when I've ordered guacamole from other places). Very tasty cheese sauce and plenty of toppings. The ranch dressing that came with the fried cauliflower tasted super fresh and looked to be homemade. Overall great food and I definitely will venture back down to New Haven to eat at their restaurant.
The people here are very good about knowing what's gluten friendly on their menu and what isn't. The only thing they will guarantee as gluten free is the burger without bun. However, I've eaten the shakes and fries many times and only gotten ill once, so you may do ok if you're only gluten intolerant rather than celiac.
*update* They now have a gluten free bun, but I wouldn't bother with it. It costs more and quickly disintegrates into mush due to how greasy the burger patties are.
