I love this restaurant and the food is really good. I have a gluten allergy and they have a gluten free bun available for the burgers. I do have to critique the bun though, it falls apart way too easily. They need to upgrade that, but I still appreciate that they have it. I would also like it if the menu was more labeled for allergies present, and wish they had gluten free chicken wings I could eat. However, the service has always been very good there and the atmosphere is pretty chill. My husband and I love coming here or ordering food to go from their online ordering system!
Really great cocktails and pizza! My gluten free pizza was the best I have ever had...thin and crispy which is how I like it! The Italian salad was very good also!
I had the seafood gluten-free pizza. Seafood was good. I enjoyed it. Gluten-free crust tasted like saltine crackers. It's not my flavor. Crust could be better, yet I appreciate the š effort for gluten-free. Came with a separately wrapped disposable pizza knife.

The private event held at Tonic was memorable and the staff was very instrumental in making it so. Gina Mauger was excellent. She was always available to discuss/review the specifics and was ready with options to accommodate my needs. The servers were very attentive without being intrusive. The entire staff worked seamlessly together to create a wonderful dining experience.. Last but not least at all, the food was amazing!!! Very tasty!!! To my surprise, most of the food was gluten free - a request I overlooked. My family was very pleased. I look forward to hosting my next party at Tonic.
Had the gluten free crust for the first time and it was reasonably good. We enjoyed our pizza Jr's. There was only 1 waiter so service was a little slow initially.
A little concerned about the cleanliness. 1st red flag was when I went to the rest room, I watched a server put her tab book on the floor while she used the toilet, then picked it up and laid it in the counter and to wash her hands and return to work with the same book. I watched her the entire time to make sure that book didn't come anywhere near our table. I considered speaking to a manager, but didn't want to make a scene, that book touched several other surfaces. It was disgusting. Second red flag was the toothpick that was in my sandwich was used before, it had dried sauce on the flag part that my sandwich did not have on it. Immediate turn off. My son also warned me not to drink from the cups there dried was food and smudges on inside of the clean cups. I was quite grossed out and kinda bummed I spent about $80 total (between 3 of us + $10 tip - the serve me was a sweetheart) just to bring home my sandwich and throw it in the trash.I don't think we will go back, which is sad because they have gluten free and plant based options.
Chill outdoor seating and amazing scallops make this spot a must-visit, especially on a cool evening!

Yum! They had a ton of gluten free options! These scallops were amazing, sweet, and crispy on the outside (just the way I love them). The outdoor seating was perfect for the cool May evening, hope to be back again on my next work trip.
With an interesting layout and a lively vibe, this spot offers tasty cocktails and a fun atmosphere, perfect for a casual hangout.

Sat at the bar for dinner and drinks with a friend around 5pm. It was moderately busy but not too loud, with kind of an awkwardly shaped floor plan, basically 2 hallways separated by a wall. Bartender was nice enough. I had the pear cocktail and a glass of the red sangria offered from the cocktail list; both were delicious, but the pear cocktail lacked the larger pear and ginger notes I expected from the ingredients. It mostly just tasted like a spiked sparkling lemonade; good, but not expected.
My friend and I shared a plate of the brussel sprouts after I saw reviews recommending them. They had good flavor, but my friend and I both noted how salty they were and how absolutely drenched they were in the sesame-soy sauce. We both enjoyed the sriracha aioli with them, but they made me thirsty š¬
I ordered the Peebee & Jay burger (pictured) and enjoyed it greatly!! The flavors worked great together. The beef patty had good flavor, but was definitely rare and not the medium I asked for. I didn't mind enough to ask for a replacement. The pork belly was crispy, with good flavor, maybe a little overdone. The popper fries were delicious! I felt like the little pickle nubbin' on my plate was strange and difficult to eat. I'd rather have had a spear or whole mini pickle; my friend commented on how it looked like I got stiffed with a pickle stem lol
My friend ordered the shrimp arancini (pictured) and loved it!! He told me the carrot puree was delicious and the plating was beautiful. I didn't try his food but it smelled and looked great! He also enjoyed his draft beer.
Overall, I had a good time, but I felt like there was a lot to be improved about the food and drink. I hate to be nitpicky, but after paying $63 (after 20% tip) for a modest meal at a restaurant I've heard rave reviews from locals over and over, I would've expected these smaller details to be locked down and perfected. With it's convenient location and appealing menu, I will most likely be back to give 2SP another try.
P.S. the music playlist was boppin'!
EDIT (4/11/24): Originally I had written celiac folks beware due to the "gluten friendly" label on dishes containing soy sauce. The restaurant has replied clarifying they use La Choy Gluten Free Soy Sauce. My review has been edited to reflect this and I'm happy to hear the restaurant takes allergies seriously š I strive for honesty in my reviews and I thank 2SP for their clarification; I will be back! š“
Absolutely amazing food, great gluten free pizza! Came in as a walk in with a large group, and they were so kind and patient. Kristin was phenomenal!!!!!

Having celiac, it can be a little risky eating out anywhere. I ordered nigiri sushi with no sauce or anything. It was very good, and didn't trigger a reaction. My colleagues ordered off of the lunch menu and it all looked great as well!

We had an amazing experience! We tried the Thursday tasting menu special and it was so much fun. We got to try 12 different things on the menu. The pork belly and crab dip were amazing! The crab cake and shrimp and grits were equally delicious. There were great gluten free options. The manager was very friendly and answered all our questions. The space was both historic and modern. We would definitely come again. Even took home a Photo Booth souvenir!

Unique, delicious food! I had the Tlayudas Oaxaquenas - like a Oaxaca pizza(?). Itās smothered in delicious toppings I couldnāt name and rocked my world. Adventurous and gluten free! My companion had Enchiladas Coloradas and they were also delicious.
6 friends and myself came for brunch on a Saturday morning.
We were immediately greeted by an owner and our server, Jane, who offered to let us choose which table best fit our needs.
In all, we had the coffee (fantastic), pomegranate mimosa (coming back for more of those), iPA (loved it just like Jane promised we would), Brunch on Bow, Bloody Mary, and lagerita.
Jane helped us navigate the menu, assisting with gluten-free needs and substitutions. Our first time chicken and waffle adventurer loved her meal, we highly recommend the maple bacon fries and loved the bananas foster French toast, breakfast flatbread, carnitas omelet and bomboloni breakfast burger.
We were checked on by Jane, a manager, and a co-owner who were all phenomenally down to earth and hospitable. We were made aware of new menu features, Valentineās Day events, their VIP club, happy hour specials, and a meet and greet with the second co-owner Fabio.
We will be returning very soon!
Bait and switch on the prices!
I wish I had seen the reviews about the 20% service fee before we went. This 20% fee has been reviewed badly for several months so it isn't something new they just tried, and the owner's excuses about the reasons for it ring hollow.
We chose this place because it was convenient to the Grand Opera House, the menu online looked reasonably priced, and they had gluten free items. At least some of the GF options are not really GF as they are cross contaminated, as an example the corn chips served with the GF crab dip are fried in the same oil with breaded options. I will say the server did tell me this and offered to bring a GF roll and some carrots and celery to dip. That was the best service we had during our meal, and I would add that the place was not crowded at least half the booths were empty when we arrived at it was never fully seated.
My son had ordered a glass of wine to come with his dinner, but it did not arrive with the meal. After frantically waving at our server several different times as she walked by, he started to get out of his seat to get her when she finally acknowledged him. She took another minute to get to us and then several more minutes to get the wine to him. We had told her, when we were seated just before 6:00, that we were going to a 7:30 performance at the Grand Opera House and needed to get our tickets at Will-Call, and she assured us we would have no problem.
We had finished our meal by about 6:44 and two of the three us wanted dessert, however, it took over 10 minutes to get our waitress' attention again and by that point we didn't feel we had time. I also had needed my water refilled for about 20 minutes by that point.
Then we received the check and were shocked to see a 20% service fee added. There was a line for "Additional tip" on the credit card slip, so it seemed clear that this 20% was intended as a tip. We all normally tip 20% and I sometimes more since I often have questions about my dietary restrictions that require the waitress to check with the chef. Since my son had been almost halfway through his dinner before getting his wine, and we were ignored for so long that we had to forgo dessert, none of us felt that we wanted to add anything to that 20%. To me, the 20% is a bait and switch on the menu prices.
As to the food: The crab dip had a lot of cheese in it, the Chilean salmon was perfectly cooked with a very oily, bland sauce under it, the fish and chips was described as "very good" but the coleslaw was described as "fairly flavorless". I seriously doubt that we will return.
This cozy spot is a local favorite for its vast pizza selection and relaxed atmosphere, with outdoor seating and a vibrant community vibe.

Gianniās Pizza in Wilmington is one of those places that the locals frequent. I know this because locals turned me on to the place, and for good reason. This is a classic Italian eatery for great thin-crust pizza (many, many to choose from) by the pie or slice, fantastic cheesesteaks and loaded subs. The business here is quite robust in this rather small pie-wedge shaped brick building. There is seating available outside and on the second floor. Gluten-free pizza dough is also available. Highly recommended.
We chose Harryās Savoy Grill for my momās 70th birthday dinner, and sadly, it was a letdown. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt off. The stares we received upon walking in made it clear that African Americans dining there might not be the norm ā very strange and uncomfortable. It gave off ārallyā vibes that left us feeling out of place.
The noise level was unbearable, thanks to a table next to us that was clearly over-served. The staff didnāt seem to address it, even though it was obvious everyone was ready for them to leave.
The food was mediocre at best. The only vegan option was a hollowed-out squash with under-seasoned beans spilling over the plate ā bland and unappetizing. No gluten-free pasta options were available, and the potatoes tasted like a bowl of oil. For a restaurant positioned as upscale, the food and overall experience were disappointing.
The only bright spot was being able to spend time with my family and celebrate my momās milestone, but I wonāt be back. Definitely not worth the hype ā next time, Iāll be paying closer attention to the reviews.
With a stylish vibe and impressive decor, it's a great spot to enjoy delicious meals while accommodating diverse dietary needs.

I was so impressed with the service at Capers & Lemons, particularly for catering to dietary restrictions. I was with colleagues and because I generally do not trust restaurants to have GF options, I had fully planned on just having something to drink and skipping lunch.
However, the server was knowledgeable about what could and couldn't be prepared gluten-free, as well as realistic about the risk of cross-contamination. I'm a super sensitive celiac and opted not to risk the GF pasta, but the kitchen was able to prepare me a baked chicken breast to put on a plain salad.
Despite being minimally-seasoned chicken on a plain house salad, I thought it was delicious! The chicken was moist and flavorful. The food my colleagues got looked amazing as well. There was GF/DF lemon sorbetto which was perfect for a hot day - I couldn't finish it, but it was so good. Altogether it was nice to be able to enjoy lunch and dessert safely.
Also, the ambiance was super cool. Loved the decor, in particular the unique light fixture in the dining room.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Expect a lively atmosphere with quick service and standout homemade chips that keep loyal fans coming back for more.

I have been going to this this restaurant for a few years and itās been nothing but exceptional. The food is great as well as the service. They are very fast even when itās busy. I highly recommend the queso and tacos. As someone with celiac I would also like to mention how good they are with gluten free food. Their homemade chips are gluten-free and I assume they are great with preventing cross contamination since I havenāt gotten sick from them yet.
I have celiac (severe gluten allergy) on my husbands birthday he chose to pick a place I could eat at
The website says GLUTEN FREE menu. However in the store the menu says GLUTEN SENSITIVE.
This is not the same! And this is a major mistake to make as a restaurant.
I took 1 bite of a salad and I immediately knew. I am now dealing with the dreaded pains of being GLUTENed. Nice staff the manager tried to make it better the waitress tried to offer something else.
Just DO NOT eat here if you have a gluten allergy
From the other guests:
the Mac and cheese is not baked as stated on the menu
Some of the deviled eggs were super salty
Ribs were good
Wings (honey butter) were awesome
My family and I decided to make reservations at this restaurant after being there several times before with excellent service we were happy to return. But I canāt say that we had excellent service or a excellent experience this time. It all started with a person in our party that has a gluten allergy not being catered to by the restaurant when they offer gluten free buns and were not able to produce any due to āthe chef doesnāt have any fresh onesā. The waitress we had was doing three jobs and did not have the time to attend to a larger party like she should have. The bar music was so loud you couldnāt think. I could keep on going but at this point I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
